Pet care experience
Hi! I'm Miriam. :-) But my friends have been known to call me a "crazy animal lady" (because I say hi to ALLLLL the cats & dogs I meet wherever i go - at home, during travels...ANYWHERE). I've made friends with the pets of my ex-boyfriends (oh how I miss them - the pets, not the boyfriends ;-)). Anytime I go somewhere during my travels, I'm known to take FOREVER to get from point A to B because I stop and talk to all the animals I come across (In Nepal, it was cows, cats, dogs, chickens, and goats!). As far as I can remember, I've had a love for animals. I even did a homework assignment in junior high on animal cruelty and animal testing - I wasn't a fan of it, even back then. We had a cat when I was in elementary school and junior high, then in college my boyfriend and I had a cocker-poo dog, Zanbur. My parents have had dogs ever since (early 2000s). Before starting this Rover account, friends have asked me to pet-sit based solely on my clear animal obsession via my Facebook posts during my travels and enjoyment of spending time with their pets. I absolutely love it, and can't get enough quality-time with their furry loved ones when I'm there.
Reviews
Everything went great we have already requested Miriam to care for our dogs again ! Good communication with quick replies. Followed directions for dog outings, house clean and fur vacuumed! Sent daily updates and pictures….:)?
Miriam is great! Overnight stay and the dogs loved her!
Miriam was as wonderful as all the previous reviewers noted! She was sweet, attentive to every detail we requested, super clean and respectful of our home, and most of all....Tutu was happy and loved her! We will definitely book her again with no hesitation. She also sent adorable pictures to us to assure us that our pup was doing great. Really appreciate her and made our trip more enjoyable!
We can’t say enough good about Miriam taking care of our dogs, one younger pup, and one more senior dog. We had some special circumstances she accommodated to, was super communicative, gave constant updates, and helped us feel safe and confident in using here. I recommend Miriam as highly as I can. If she is available, you won’t be disappointed with her services!

I am HUGE about showing all of my animal friends TONS OF LOVE! I know this looks different for each animal. For some of them it means tons of ball time, others lots of cuddles and pets, and for the rare few antisocial cats it means giving them the space they need while still acknowledging their rule over the house and chatting only when they feel like it. lol It's also important to me to cater my time with your animal family members based on their personalities and typical needs and routines. I ask a lot of questions to make sure I'm giving your fur family member exactly what they need while I'm with them. I'm a firm believer that, just like us humans, not all animals are the same and neither are their needs and preferences!
Information Miriam S. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much as you'd like to share with me! The usuals, of course, related to food and eating schedules, emergency contact info, any medications, and your usual walk/potty routines. I'm always curious about what their "love language" is (playing catch, walks, pets, etc...basically what makes them the happiest!), how they are around other dogs, if they have any neighborhood animal friends they might want to see while I'm with them, or anything else you'd like to share. Some people like to provide a short printout. I am also a fan of taking notes so I don't forget anything! :-)
A typical day
We start the day with having a conversation while I get their breakfast ready and my coffee. After all that digests, we might go for a little adventure around the neighborhood or to the local park (if they're a fan of your local park). If they are comfortable going on a drive, we might go to a local canyon or dog beach, depending on the kinds of adventures you've told me they like! And, of course, taking lots of pics with tongues out or while chilling after one of our adventures. Evenings might be a movie night with cuddles or pets and brushes. My ultimate goal is to spend quality-time with your furr-family as much as I possibly can during our stay, leaving them feeling loved and super happy when you get home! <3

I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE YOUR FUR-FAMILY MY NEW FUR-FRIEND(s)! I don't have a typical 9-5 job, so I'm able to adjust my non-rover work based on what we schedule together.
