Pet care experience
I spent my summer and fall doing Rover for mostly in-home stays. I loved the quality time I got to spend with all these amazing dogs! In the past, I have taken care of friends and family members dogs, which sparked my interest to start doing it more consistently! My friends have left me their dogs while they’ve been out of town for a number of weeks and I used to take care of our family dog when my parents were out of town for business. I personally wish I had a dog of my own to take outside with me but this is a nice second option.

Miriam was amazing. She clearly is a dog lover and di not shy away from the fact that we have a very old dog that comes with some old dog complications. She is an exceptional communicator. We came back to a happy dog and a clean house. I know our dog would love if she watched her again.
Miriam provided house and dog sitting, as well as greenhouse care, for 7 days. She was fabulous. It was a last minute trip and she was very accomodating and helpful. She sent pictures of the dogs regularly and ws easy to contact. The dogs appeared attached to her when we returned home, so I know they had a good time. The house was immaculate. You would be lucky to have her be your Rover.

I can ensure your dog(s) are happy and get outside during the day for some exercise! I will make sure they get back to your home safely and have enough water until you get home. I am very good at getting that extra energy out of your pets if it’s needed, I can take a slow easy walk for those elderly dogs or just spend time with them if you want to make sure they are ok during the day while you are away.

I would appreciate knowing their feed schedule, their exercise needs and if they have any sort of anxieties towards people, other dogs or whatever it may be just to be prepared.
A typical day
I enjoy going on hikes and it’s always nice to have a buddy with you while you’re outside. I can take your dog(s) to the park or a good place to throw a ball or play around with them.

Availability
I can no longer do long-term stays during the winter season as I started a job working part-time in Girdwood. I am now available Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday for walks or drop-in visits. I do work nights in Anchorage over the weekend so my primary availability is during the day now.
