Pet care experience
I'm a remote worker who recently moved to Portland and am eager to get to know my four-legged neighbors and traverse the city on foot. I have been a neighborhood dog walker since I was 11 - also a cat sitter, plant caretaker and babysitter - and have kept up my habit of leaving little notes and drawings after visits. I have experience with basic dog training, young puppies and elderly dogs.

It was so wonderful to have Miriam sit with cooper. He is a new puppy and full of energy. Miriam spent two hour visits, three times a week, teaching him to go down the stairs and how to shake. She left me a little note about their daily activities and posted pictures on the rover site. She is sweet, kind, trustworthy and exactly what we were looking for in a sitter. We already miss her!
Miriam was absolutely wonderful with our cat, Thor. She left detailed notes and I could tell she bonded a bit with him, so that was very appreciated. Best of all, Thor wasn’t anxious at all when we got back, so I could tell he felt loved and protected while we were gone. I highly recommend Miriam!
Miriam did a great job with my cat! I always appreciate pictures during the visit to know he’s doing well, and she left me a sketch/note about Bobby, so cute!!! Will definitely rebook in the future!
I've known Miriam for more than 13 years. She is a kind and thoughtful person who's always had a way with animals. Growing up, whenever I would go to her house to see her I would be met at the door by Miriam holding her cat in her arms, all smiles, with her dog in tow. All of my pets (four cats and a dog) have gotten along really well with her. She's incredibly patient with people and animals alike and would be an excellent caretaker for your pets.
