Pet care experience
I am an urban kindergarten teacher in Milwaukee who loves dogs. I am committing my summer to help dogs, exercise with them and entertain them. VERY flexible hours and availability. Confident, patient, and compatient as I am with my students. I love working physically with your pet (walking, running, fetch, etc.), but also mentally including tricks, games, and training. I am very willing for any size or type of dog in any space including home, apartment, etc.! I have experience with different breeds at different ages and even work closely with a three-legged friend! I have limited experience with senior dogs or those with special needs, but have a tireless work ethic in which I will do whatever it takes to help your furry friend be happy and comfortable!

Miriam has loved dogs as long as I can remember. She was always offering to take care of other people's dogs while she was in school because she could not have her own. She loves to exercise them, cuddle them, and groom them. Just as she is with her students, she loves each dog individually for their unique personalities and needs. Caring for someone's dog would allow her to use her gifts to care for others while providing a change of care from young students to dogs.
Miriam has gotten to know Sami, our lab mix, very well over the past couple of years. She has helped us work through different training techniques, has been very patient and understanding with her as a puppy, and has given Sami unconditional love! Sami does not warm up to many people, but when it comes to Miriam she has given complete trust! Miriam will give your fur baby the love he/she deserves!

I would like to know if they are territorial or aggressive in any manner. In this way, I would be able to have a proper introduction and relationship before approaching the dog independently. I have no breed preferences, but believe that any dog is capable of being a loving, furry friend!
A typical day
I will go on walks to owner-preferred areas, but love to walk along nature trails and parks. While walking the dog or playing outside, I will run or walk, play fetch, tug-of-war, hide-and-seek, mentally stimulating games and challenges with toys, mazes, etc.
