Pet care experience
Animals have always been a special part of my life. I grew up with pets and even raised rats and mice in elementary school to sell to our local pet store. I also "trained" rabbits to be pets on a rabbit farm when I was in middle school. This was done by holding and petting the bunnies until they were comfortable with people so that they could become someone's pet. I've never met an animal who is uncomfortable around me, I've always been the person pet owners have told me that their pet doesn't like anyone but for some reason they love me! I am reliable and thoroughly enjoy the company of animals.

Miranda was amazing! We were worried leaving our big anxious girl (Great Pyrenees) with someone for the first time, but our minds were instantly at ease when we met Miranda. She was communicative and professional, and we could tell that Talia had a great time! We will definitely be using Miranda for any trips moving forward.

When I pet sit in my home I basically child proof so that the animal is safe and cannot get into anything dangerous or escape and get lost. I keep a clean home always and can insure their safety as well as follow your / their schedules if they have one. When I sit at others homes I create a schedule with them before they leave and follow it to a Tee. For a walking only situation I like to find out what doggo likes to do and the places he or she is happiest at ie do they like to be around other dogs / people or are they more of the shy type... I believe that while caring for someone else's pet it isn't that different from caring for another's child - the way they want their animal cared for should be respected and all rules should be followed.

I believe it's helpful too know if your pet has any behavioral issues, triggers / is uncomfortable doing certain things or in certain situations such as not liking loud places ect. Also it's great too know if they are okay around other animals, if they have particular eating schedules / habits, even how and where they like and don't like to be pet. I want to be informed with as much information possible to insure you're pet ( s ) will be as comfortable and happy as can be with me!
A typical day
I love to play, go on walks, parks and will bring them on errands if they like those sort of outings and you're comfortable with it. As stated in my bio I will tailor our day to what your animal likes to do best! I live in a secured Apt building that has a very decent sized fenced dog area for them to get some fresh air and play in. I will also be purchasing a litter box for when cats come to visit as my guy won't share his. He is a gentle soul who is comfortable around other animals but if yours isn't it will be very easy for me to keep them separated!

I was a pharmacy tech for years but found it unfulfilling so I'm back in school and am a part time nanny because I love children as well. I am happiest taking care of others whether it is people or animals. I've pet sit for friends and family my whole life and I've always wanted a dog walking position as getting exercise and being able to have the company of a furry friend I consider to be the best of both worlds. A job that doesn't feel like a job is everyone's dream right?!
