I am a Miami University graduate with degrees in Zoology and Sustainability and am very knowledgeable and meticulous. I have over 200 hours of experience working in companion animal clinics, giving me a healthy background in dog (and cat) care and behavior. I can perform basic toenail trims on most dogs and can apply/administer medications if necessary. Growing up, I had dogs and cats as well as a leopard gecko and an axolotl salamander. Currently, I have two dogs (a chow-shepherd mix and a lab-pitbull-cocker mix) and three cats (all domestic short hairs). Before Rover.com, I pet sat annually for two households and sporadically for three others. Among these clients I've cared for dogs, cats, and exotic birds. I have also volunteered with a few different facilities where I've gained experience in caring for and handling exotics (such as reptiles) as well as wildlife. In addition, I'm a former Lake Metropark employee where I rehabilitated wildlife and a former intern at the Wilds where I cared for and studied endangered animals. I am self taught in dog and cat behavior/training via positive reinforcement, clicker training, and target training. I also strengthened my dog training skills by volunteering as a trainer at the Medina County Humane Society (formerly known as Pawsibilities). I treat all animals in my care as if they are my own and will always strive to go above an beyond my client's expectations. Although I can never replace you in the eyes of your dog, cat, or other extra-species child, I will do everything in my power to give your best friend the love and care they deserve in your absence!
