Pet care experience
My name is Miranda. I grew up on a farm in Iowa, lived in Phoenix and Dallas and recently moved back to Iowa to be closer to family. I have a lot of experience with all types of animals from living on a farm, studying animals in college, working at a doggy daycare/ boarding facility, and I working as a vet tech. I work in real estate now but would love to get back into the animal industry and possibly start my own doggy day care. The most important thing to me is that your dog won’t sit in a kennel while you’re gone. Why should they when I can play with them and give them endless belly scratches?

Saylor had the best time with Miranda, so much that I don’t think she was ready for her vacation to end! Miranda was very accommodating and sent photos and videos throughout Saylor’s stay. I would absolutely recommend her to my friends and family and will hopefully get to use her services again!
This was my first time booking with Miranda and I am already rebooking with her for my next trip out of town. She was very responsive from the moment I requested a meet and greet. She made time to stop by and get acquainted with my very shy skittish pup before my trip. The photos and updates that she sent while she was watching Robyn were adorable and reassured me that she was being well taken care of. Im fact, Miranda went beyond taking care of my pup, she really took the time to get to know her. By the second visit Robyn, who is very skittish, had already really warmed up to Miranda. I highly recommend Miranda!
Miranda is an animal lover and animals love her. She grew up on a farm and has worked at a kennel. Miranda will give your dog lots of love and extra attention.

I have a one level home with a big backyard and front yard. I would keep your dog on a leash when in the yard as it is not fenced in. Eventually I will be getting a fenced in yard to make boarding and daycare easier and safer.

Are they food aggressive, kennel aggressive or dog aggressive? Are there any specific things they can’t have (toys, treats, etc.) Any health concerns I should know about? I accept all breeds! I have experience with many different breeds and love them all! :)
A typical day
I believe both mental and physical enrichment are extremely important to a dogs well being. We will go on walks, play in the yard, do doggy puzzles, and work on the skills your dog already has or the ones you’d like them to have. We have a beautiful bike trail right by our house that is perfect for a safe and interesting (full of smells) walk.

I am working full time at the moment but have weekends open. I’d like to eventually start my own doggy day care so if I get enough business I’ll do that full time.
