Pet care experience
I started walking dogs when I was about 13. I am from MN originally and would walk and care for all the neighborhood dogs. Even in the winter I would bundle up and take them on walks. I moved to San Diego when I was 20 and adopted a pug named Simon who passed at a young age of 7. I took a break and started pet sitting and walking locally before rover was a thing. I adopted my current dog Theo right before covid hit and he is reactive and doesn’t like to go on walks so here I am! I figured I could help people out and take their dogs on walks and help with drop in visits as needed.

Miranda is a loving pet mom to her 4 year old rescue pup, Theo. She is attentive to his every need and has been extremely caring to all of the dog’ “kiddos” of her friends. She is extremely attentive of a dogs needs and I would 100% recommend her to anyone who needs a caring sitter or dog walker for their dog!
Miranda has watched and walked my little Scooby numerous times and is the only person I trust with him! She is so kind and loving with him! He gets so excited to see her and by the pics she sends me it looks like he is having the time of his life:) She is incredibly responsive and makes sure she has all the information she needs for each visit. I would trust her with any pet of mine, I’m thrilled I found her. :)
Miranda is hands down the best dog walker and sitter I've ever had! My pup absolutely adores her, and I trust her completely with my furry friend. She's reliable, caring, and always goes the extra mile to make sure my dog is happy and well taken care of. I can't recommend her enough!

Because I have a reactive dog I am always aware of my surroundings. I take safety very seriously and I personally think it’s better not to socialize them while in my care. It prevents any issues from happening. I will treat your dog with the utmost respect and listen to your needs as the pet parent. If you like them to sniff we can do sniff walks. If you have them trained not to sniff and stop, we can power through. It’s totally up to you.

Let me know if they are reactive or have any fears or things that they don’t like while on walks. Is there a specific route you take? So they like different routes? If I am doing drop ins let me know if you want refreshed water bowls, feeding, medicine given, treats, enrichment activities.
A typical day
If I am walking the dog I like to take them to fun and interesting streets! Walks near the water or beach are great. Honestly whatever your pet likes, I can do! If I am doing drop in visits I can play with toys or give belly rubs or whatever you want.

Availability
I work remotely in the Point Loma heights area and have a fairly flexible schedule. I am available for lunch and even walks or drop ins. My dog will not be joining for these visits or adventures :) I am currently not able to board or house sit.
