Putting the care in pet care!
Pet care experience
When I was a little kid, I asked my parents to take me to the library every week to check out a non-fiction book about animals. My favorite movie was a National Geographic special on cats. In high school, I watched the Westminster Kennel Club Show for fun (and because let's be real, those dogs have amazing formal names) and volunteered with my local animal shelter on weekends and evenings. I have been a huge animal fan for my entire life. Now I work my dream job: walking dogs and pet-sitting professionally for over 15 years. I believe a big reason I have successfully built such strong and long-lasting client relationships is because I love and care for each pet as if they are my own (but always according to the rules, guidelines, and preferences of the owners). I have experience with pets of all shapes, sizes, breeds, needs, and temperaments. My family has taken in three rescue dogs, all big lovely mutts over 80 lbs, who came from not so nice situations - I am sensitive to the needs of sensitive animals. I am active, fit, and confident walking everyone from big goofy puppies to three-legged Yorkies with big dog attitudes. I studied animal physiology and behavior in undergrad, and am wilderness first aid certified. I would love to meet, walk, befriend, and care for your fur baby!
Reviews
Miranda is always great with our dogs! She takes the best photos and is always so responsive which makes me less nervous to leave them.
Miranda was great as always! Definitely recommend her.
Everything was great! Miranda was very communicative which we really appreciated.
Miranda is the best!

Safety, trust & environment
I have a fully fenced yard for care at my home. The cat that lives here does have her own floor of the house accessible thru her cat door, she usually makes herself scarce when we are hosting an animal friend. I have daily walks scheduled that typically have me out from about 10AM-2PM every day, though for puppies, seniors, and pets with medical needs I can schedule a midday check in if being left alone during that time is not feasible.

Information Miranda B. would like to know about your pet
I love to talk to owners just because every pet is a unique individual, with their own likes and dislikes. I'd love to hear from you about their favorite spots to walk, how they react to other dogs and people, and any little tips and tricks you have learned from your own experience walking them.
A typical day
Most dogs love a good walk in a park or through a wooded area, if we have access that would be a good first pick. Studies suggest that domesticated animals can get a great deal of benefit from being able to make small decisions in their lives, so I like to let the dog lead us in the direction they'd like to go, or choose which way if we come to a "Y" in our path. I will pack my pockets with any treats and toys that the owner okay's or provides. If the dog is elderly, sick, missing a leg, it's no problem! We can do whatever size walk your dog is accustomed to, and the remainder of the time can be spent playing in the yard or giving belly rubs and cuddles. I know pets' needs extend beyond food, water, and exersize - I aim to also provide companionship and company.
