Pet care experience
Not able to have my own pup (yet!), so let me watch yours so I can get my dog fix! In addition to two years of watching and walking dogs through Rover, I have casual dog-sitting and fostering experience - i.e. I dogsat for a few families in high school and college, and I fostered a German Shepherd puppy and a large hound mix until they found their forever homes. A family I regularly babysat for 5 years adopted a labradoodle while I was their babysitter as well. I'm a new grad student at UCI, and currently, classes are happening in person, but may switch back to online format depending on COVID. I'm happy to drop by to check in on your pup, take walks or play throughout the week. If you need a dog sitter for a trip, I'm happy to stay at your house. In addition to the verified stay reviews on Rover, I can provide the contact info for the people I've dog sat for over the year. Finally, I am fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and request that we all wear masks during in-person meet and greets, regardless of vaccination status.
Reviews
Miranda always takes such good care of our dog Winnie! Thank you, Miranda!
Miranda took great care of our two dogs and cat. She was communicative and shared plenty of photos. Our home was exactly in the condition we left it. We will definitely request for her again in the future!
Miranda is the best! She truly cared for our dog and our home! Very responsible and communicative!
Miranda is the best! ❤️ She’s one of my go-to gals when I need someone to check on my fur baby, Ghost! 🐈 She is so familiar with him, his routine, and my home, which makes it a very easy process! Thanks as always, Miranda! ❤️

Safety, trust & environment
Your dog's health and safety are the most important aspects of my time with them! In addition to questions about daily routine, I make sure to always ask about their home environment and their habits (e.g., do they like to try to escape when the front door opens? Where do they like to hang out or relax during the day?). In addition, I always ask for an emergency contact in case of emergency (for house-stays). Rover may prompt you to provide vet information as part of your pet profile as well, but I will always verify vet information to make sure it is updated.
Information Miranda B. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much about your dog as I can so I can make sure he or she is comfortable when I'm taking care of them! How do they feel about other dogs? Do they like walks, running, or playing fetch? What's their favorite treat? This helps me know if there's something out of character for them or something I need to contact you about. I also make sure to ask about specific commands you use at home to make sure that they don't forget their training while you're away. No breed preferences! My dog-sitting experience ranges from small chihuahua mixes & corgis all the way to large Great Danes.
A typical day
If your dog likes dog parks, walks or playing fetch, I'll be their best friend. I'm happy to drive to local parks/dog-parks if your pup prefers off-leash time. If your dog likes to be lazy and snuggle while I do work on my computer or watch Netflix, we'll still be best friends!

Availability
As a grad student, my scheduled fluctuates a lot every day. With classes in person and work mostly online/at home, I'm generally able to provide breaks for your pups every 4-6 hours, but on some days of the week, I'm booked up to 8 hours. However, if you have questions about my schedule on specific days, please feel free to message me. I'm able to accept some repeat requests with a degree of flexibility, but again, as a graduate student, my schedule changes daily.
