Pet care experience
Hello! I’m Mimi, a Zoology student with experience with all sorts of furries, big and small. I’ve walked, looked after and helped to train many dogs in my time, using positive reward methods. I specialise in working with reactive or nervous dogs, and use positive reward-based training methods. My first proper experience with professional dog training was obedience training with my teachers german shepherd puppy for bronze DofE when i was 13, and i’ve been working and loving it since then! I’ve worked with dogs, cats, fowl and many rodents, but also volunteered with (and helped rehabilitate for release) cheetahs, african painted wolves, lions and brown hyenas (as well as several other african species) I have volunteered with dog shelters, for example in Croatia, and you can see some photos of introducing stray dogs to the ocean in my profile. As a Zoology student, I have a lot of passion for the animal kingdom, but especially dogs and cats. I’ve helped to raise two litters of puppies of puppies from birth, and have experience with puppy obedience and house training.
Reviews
Mimi was excellent with our very bouncy vizsla pup Honey. It was our first time leaving her overnight and I was really worried about how it would go, our pup is pretty young and excitable but Mimi was so great with her and it was obvious that Honey really enjoyed herself. The updates from Mimi over the 2 days really helped put my mind at ease. We will 100% use her again.
Mirabelle was excellent and very loving with the dogs. She was very attentive with paying attention to anything that might be a health need and giving them lots of attention. Sent lots of pictures
Excellent care from Mirabelle! One of our dogs are pretty nervous and barky on first meet, this didn't phase Mimi. She settled him in and he warmed up to her in no time. Calming energy, very easy-going, conscientious and knowledgable, took great care of our pups and house whilst house-sitting. Will definitely be re-booking next time. Thanks again!
Amazing! Mimi was caring and attentive to my dog. Pinky was so comfortable with Mimi and gave me peace of mind whilst I was out! Definitely recommend Mimi, I will be using her services again when I am in town next :)

Safety, trust & environment
I will follow whatever routine you usually have with your dog to prevent as much disruption as possible. I am happy to spend as much time with them as possible, do as many or as little walks as you like, sleep with them on the bed or in their crate… whatever you usually do :) I will also usually do some training, for mental stimulation and to keep up with whatever you may have been working on with your dog.
Information Mirabelle H. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog is reactive or anxious. I have worked with reactive dogs, nervous dogs and high energy breeds and I am experienced in soothing techniques and reward-based training.
A typical day
Depending on the dog, I would usually go for a morning walk and an afternoon walk, wake up around 7:30-8, breakfast and outside for a walk! I would usually opt for two meals a day- morning and evening- however this is entirely dependent on your dog as some may prefer smaller, more frequent meals.
Services
Mirabelle can watch in your home
Availability
I’m currently in my third year of university, so I fit my dogsitting around my lectures. This makes me quite flexible as I can usually do lectures online, and am happy to sit and work while your pet naps.
