I’ve been caring for friends’ and neighbors’ cats for over a decade on and off, and volunteered to work with cats for over five years at a local animal shelter while in college. I learned how to administer different kinds of medications and learned cat behavior and boundaries through these experiences! I never quite had the opportunity to care for dogs (perhaps I only met people who had cats) until I started working as a veterinary assistant at the Nebraska Humane Society. I’ve bathed, walked, and administered oral and injectable medication for dogs, nonetheless! I also have extensive knowledge of neonatal kitten care. Though clearly not medically licensed for veterinary care, I can identify concerning symptoms and make sure that your pet can get the care it needs if necessary. I should note—I’ll be starting ceramics courses from March 7 to May 21 and will be unavailable from 1-4 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays!
