Hi! My name is Minha, and I live in Wallingford with my 8 year old Samoyed Rio. He gets lonely and would love to meet new friends! I work from home full time so I am able to provide potty breaks and/or walks fairly frequently. We have a small partially fenced yard they can run around in, and a great neighborhood with lots of sidewalks for a long walk! I have experience with reactive and fearful dogs and can provide oral medications. If you’re looking for a dog sitter and your dog would like to make a new friend, we would love to meet you :)

Minha and Rio are the best! Our pup is quite nervous and can be reactive to new strangers, but she loved being with Rio and Minha. Minha provided lots of photos and updates. She also was very patient with our pup and took the time prior to the day care to understand any special needs our dog had. Our pup can’t wait to go back :)

Minha watched over our dog as if he were her own. She sent frequent updates and was extremely communicative. Our dog is a bit shy and anxious, and Minha made him feel very comfortable from the start. We recommend Minha for anyone looking for a dog sitter.
Minha provided lots and love and care for Zarya during her stay. She sent a bunch of pictures and updates throught each day, giving me reassurance that Zarya is doing well and having fun.

My dog Rio has separation anxiety he and your dog will never be left home alone without direct supervision during day care. If they are staying for boarding, they must be able to be home alone for at least 2 hours in case we may need to run errands. Rio would either be at a friends or separate daycare at that time. Please note that I typically do not leave toys out to prevent resource guarding issues due to experiences in the past.

Does your dog have any behaviors I should be aware of? (Eg, reactivity, fears, noise sensitivity, anxiety, separation anxiety) Is your dog on any medications? Is your dog comfortable in a car? Is your dog allowed on the furniture? What other rules do you enforce in your home with your dog?
A typical day
We like to go on walks around our neighborhood or around Green Lake for longer walks on the weekend. I am not comfortable with dog parks and prefer to provide enrichment through walks/sniff walks/hikes. Since Rio is getting older, he isn’t as active as he once used to be. He enjoys playing with other dogs, but tires quickly. He coexists well with younger, hig energy dogs but we may not be the best fit if you are looking for an equally active playmate for your pup.

Availability
Our schedule is flexible. We typically go for a walk in the morning before or after breakfast and after dinner, with periodic potty breaks in between. On weekends our schedule is even more flexible depending on the weather!
