Please let me know if your baby has a special history, needs or behaviors that I should take into account. I do not have much experience with “special needs” (blind, deaf, etc) pets but I am very patient and willing to learn. All your best tips will help me learn to take care of them while you can’t be home.
A typical day
I love to take them outside to play. We all have favorite toys and I’d love the chance for your pets to share theirs with me! If the weather isn’t too hot (we all know how Charleston can be!) we will walk around the neighborhood so they can re-mark their territory! If you live near a park or dog park we can go play with their best buds. If your pet is low-key and just needs TLC and snuggles, I’m your girl!!

My services include feeding, freshening the water, walks, playtime to get the zoomies out, medication if needed, brushing, cleanup, and plenty of TLC. I also send photos and text updates so you can breathe easy knowing your baby is in caring, dependable hands. What sets me apart? My focus is on trust, routine, and a real connection to get to know each pet so you and your baby feel at ease. I have always had dogs in my own life—through every stage. So I’m experienced at handling all ages. Exercising, playing, hugs and attention are most important for their overall health. And I’ve got plenty to give! I am a retired high school teacher who still tutors, but only after school lets out. My children are grown and my husband is at work all day. I’m in West Ashley (inside the 526 loop) and available any time throughout the day.

Mindy went absolutely above and beyond caring for my pets while I was away. She didn’t just let them out for potty breaks—she truly spent quality time with them and made sure they felt loved and comfortable. She played with them, refreshed their water, gave them treats, and even put on calming music before she left. She took extra time with my more nervous pup, patiently hand-feeding him until he felt comfortable enough to eat. Reading her detailed updates gave me so much peace of mind because I knew she was paying attention to each of their individual needs and personalities. It was obvious that my pets weren’t just being “checked on”—they were genuinely cared for. Knowing they were getting love, playtime, and such thoughtful attention while I couldn’t be home meant the world to me. I can’t recommend Mindy enough, and I would trust her with my pets again in a heartbeat. Thank you for treating them like your own! ❤️🐾
