Pet care experience
My first memory of experiencing a dog's love happened while I was still in diapers. I was crawling on the floor in my family’s home and my uncle’s Yorkshire terrier rushed at me, teeth bared and growling. My grandmother’s Cocker Spaniel immediately placed himself in between the Yorkie and me in a defensive stance and told him off! I was too young to fully grasp the situation, but clearly that instance resonated with me, as it became one of my earliest memories! I learned just how loyal dogs could be in that moment, and I knew that if I had their love, then I’d have it forever. I have never not owned a dog, and my life continues to be full with the presence of my six year old shih tzu/Chihuahua mix and my two year old Husky/cattle dog mix. I also recently adopted a Siamese kitten to round out our pet family! From a professional point of view, I have been volunteering in the medical department at my local shelter for over six years and have a great deal of canine experience—I have worked as a dog handler in a daycare/boarding and training facility; I am a certified veterinary assistant studying dog obedience and am on track to obtain my certificate in dog training; and I am a professional pet-sitter and trainer, offering holistic natural remedies and services through my dog care business. I am comfortable working with extra large dogs like Irish Wolfhouds, Doggo Argentinos, St. Bernards, Bernese Mountain dogs and Great Danes, etc., as well as the tiniest of tiny Chihuahuas, yorkies and everything in between! No pup is too hyper, affectionate or stand-offish for me to handle. Dogs sense who I am very quickly! Even the most nervous of pups will warm to me after a treat or two, lots of love, ear scratches, butt scratches, belly rubs and offering of toys! I am not pushy when it comes to winning their affection and let them come to me in their own time. I am patient, compassionate and loving, and I make sure I provide every bit of love and care that I possibly can. My clients and their pups appreciate my patience and good nature, and repeatedly book my services again and again. In short, I treat my clients’ pups as my own and promise to do the same for you! I am self-employed and work from home full time. This means my schedule is flexible, my availability is open and ready to shape to your needs!

Mina was fabulous! She took such good care of our two senior cats! It's so challenging to leave your pets in the care of someone they've never met, especially when one of them is in need of oral medication. Even though we weren't there, I could tell they were well cared for just by the way they behaved when we got home. Thank you Mina, for being such a gentle lady with my precious ones...we're so grateful for you!
Mina was great! We contacted her for boarding on pretty short notice, but she was ready and willing to work with us despite some slightly unusual circumstances. She was friendly, professional, and I felt totally comfortable leaving our pup with her. :)
Mina was terrific at taking our dog, Astro, in for a week and making him apart of her family. We appreciate her trainer expertise and love of animals. Astro was clearly in wonderful care for the week. Thank you Mina!!!
My first time to coordinate dog sitting with Mina and she’s very accommodating with picking up and dropping off my Sissi when my schedule got hectic. I highly recommend her.

I like to let dogs be dogs and the rules of my household reflect that! I set certain guidelines to ensure the utmost safety and happiness of my AND YOUR furbabies! I will happily accommodate any owner requests for rules/training maintenance and look forward to working with you so your pet feels safe and secure when in my care. I always respect owners’ wishes when it comes to outdoor adventures. Some of the places we like to visit include the Coronado dog beach, Little Italy dog park, Nate’s Point dog park in Balboa park and the Veterans dog park in Imperial beach. I also love to hike and Cowles Mountain is one of my favorite spots to frequent!
