Pet care experience
Hello, all! I am new to NYC this year - I just started a 4 year optometry program at SUNY in Midtown. Unfortunately, I had to say goodbye to our family dog, Henry, when I moved since he much prefers the mild weather that San Francisco has to offer (not to mention it would break my parents heart if I stole him away!). I grew up with dogs ranging in all sizes from Henry, our little 15-pound French Bulldog, to Lupe, our boisterous 80-pound Pit Bull. When I was in college, I used to volunteer at the local humane society where I would walk dogs for a few hours each week. Taking care of dogs is a guaranteed mood-booster for me, and I would love nothing more than to look after your furry friends who need a companion while you are away! My apartment does not allow pets, so I will be taking care of your pups in the comfort of your own home - whether it be with overnight sitting ($50, which includes 2 walks per day as well as any needed potty breaks outdoors), daily checkups ($30), 30 or 60 minute walks ($20 / $40), and/or bathing services ($25). Requests to care for elderly or disabled dogs are always welcome!

Mina was absolutely fabulous. I didn't have an ounce of stress while I was away, which is a lot to be said when leaving your baby in someone else's hands! From start to finish, Mina was professional, responsible, responsive, and went the extra mile to ensure a smooth, efficient and most importantly comfortable process. She took the time out to send tons of photos and videos (which I kindly requested :)), which kept a smile on my face and left me feeling at ease as I saw that my pup was in pure bliss. In fact, Coby loved Mina the minute he met her! he warmed right up to her. I would choose Mina the next time around in a heartbeat! I feel lucky to have stumbled across her and to have left my dog in such great hands. Highly recommend Mina, x 100!
Mina is awesome. She came for a meet and greet and despite the fact that our 12 year old Frenchie was super grumpy, she wasn't put off. On the night of her stay, we walked through all the requirements of an older dog, and again Mina was an absolute pleasure to work with. And she is clearly a dog lover. The next morning it turned out Mina and our Frenchie had become friends! I can not recommend Mina more highly. I trust her implicitly.
Mina was great with our Riley from the beginning to the end of his stay. She sent picture and video updates every few hours so I could see what great hands he was in. Riley gets separation anxiety, but it seemed like he was as happy as could be when we returned from our trip. Very pleased!
Fantastic sitter! Mina was very thorough in making sure she understood everything that we needed to be done with Max while we were away. This was our first time using DogVacay, so it helped us feel at ease when Mina sent us photo updates throughout the day. We came home to a happy Max, and now we will definitely book with Mina again if we need to leave Max at home!
