I have had only 1 dog myself. Hershey, a chocolate lab; when I was four years old this 8 week old furry clumsy puppy jumped into my arms. I grew up with him, at 18 we had to put him down because of his advancing hip displasia causing his inability to walk. It was on of the hardest times in my life. I loved him. Ever since, I've wanted to have another, but I do not believe that my circumstances will provide well enough for a dog on my own. My lifestyle just does not have the time or resources to raise a puppy. But if there is one thing I do have, is a love for animals; any opportunity to be around, take care of, and love any animal (not just dogs) would be a chance to fill that hole. I've had the chance to care for family and friends' animals on a number of occasions and believe that I can and will responsibly care for yours.
