Pet care experience
My name is Mike and I love all animals. I've had pets all throughout my life and have several years experience sitting and walking dogs. I live with my girlfriend Kayla and our 2 birds, Dexter and Esper, in a spacious 2 bedroom townhome. Until recently we've been fostering a 150 lb Cane Corso named Enzo after his owner was deported. However our home is once again empty and we'd love to look after your pets while you're away. I only take pets from one home at a time so you can rest assured that I will always treat them as my own. My Pets (check pictures!) : Dexter - 3 year old lutino Cockatiel. He is very curious, yet laid back. He spends most of his time on my shoulder, but will go in his cage when he wants to eat or be alone. Esper - 1 year old Sun Conure. She's very attached to me and loves to play with her toys or do tricks for food Enzo - Cane Corso. Enzo came to us in rough condition after his owner was deported. He was emaciated, low energy, and had sores across his body. We were able to clean him up and get him back to a healthy weight. Zucker - White German Shepherd. I got Zucker when I was 17 and she was my best friend. She was the sweetest, most loving dog you could ever ask for. Rocket and Spinx - Black Labrador, black cat. My family pets growing up.

I live in a 2 story, 2 bedroom townhouse with gated entry. I do not have a private yard, but there is plenty of space outside and parks within very short walking distance. I live at the end of cul de sac so the street is very quiet. There is also a small private patio with a high fence right off my living room if your pet loves to sunbathe. Small dogs are welcome on the couch if staying in my home and all pets will be provided with a doggy bed to sleep on if they don't have one.

I've cared for all kinds of dogs so I'm happy to accommodate any special needs. I appreciate if you can provide a schedule so I know what time your dog usually eats, if/when they administer any medication, and if there is a time when they usually like to play or go for a long walk. It is helpful to know if your dog is very excitable and prone to chasing smaller animals. Our birds spend most of their time outside their cages so it is very important that they feel comfortable and safe. Optional, but not required: Any personality quirks your dog has. Some breeds have very big personalities and will let you know immediately if they want to play or need to go outside, while others can be much more docile. I will stick to the schedule provided, but any notes that will help me read your dog's behavior are greatly appreciated.
A typical day
I walk almost everywhere and having a companion with me makes it even better. There are several parks in my area including one that is just a block away and very dog friendly. The rooms in my townhouse are spacious so if your dog likes to play inside throughout the day I'm happy to throw a ball, play tug-of-war, or do whatever they love to stay active and stimulated.

I'm currently finishing my degree in Computer Science but because it is summer I have no class and am home most of the day. I spend a few hours a week tutoring/teaching programming to young kids. I'm very active and go to the gym 3-5 days a week so I have no problem keeping up with dogs of every activity level.
