Pet care experience
I'm very flexible, open minded, and willing to work with special needs dogs. Experience as a shelter volunteer. I love animals and have the free time as a stay at home parent to give them some attention and exercise. I run a quiet and non-hectic home. We have one dog ourselves (spayed female Shorkie) who is playful but also pretty laid back. One daughter, 8 years old, who is soft spoken and gentle around animals. My wife and I have both been dog lovers for most of our lives. We take pride in seeing animals happy. So we'd like to invite your furry little friend to stay with us during the day or even overnight. We seldom travel and I am available most days for sitting or walking.

Mike has taken care of our pups for several years now. They really like going over to his place, with the doggy door and the treats that they can have, they circle him and he like to teach them little tricks for snacks. He is never loud with animals. Nor has he ever been abusive. He loves animals, being around their company and playing with them. I have videos of our dog getting excited in the car when we make the turn for his place. Bouncing back and forth on the back seat.
He's an old friend and I've asked him on multiple occasions to watch my dogs for me. One is a little pom and the other is a spaniel mix. He was great with both of them and they seemed comfortable and happy to stay with him each time. Highly recommended!
He has watched my older daschund several times and is very patient with him despite him being something of a pain in the neck at times, haha!
Mike and I used to volunteer together at a shelter and he's watched my two dogs on a few occasions as well. He's very patient and affectionate with dogs. I recommend him highly.

I have experience with many breeds, but have the most knowledge of Shih Tzus, Daschunds, Poodles, Spaniels, Poodles, and Chihuahuas. All that I ask is that your dog is housebroken.
A typical day
We have a nice quiet low traffic neighborhood and nearby park to go walking. Play time is generally just some ball tossing or tug of war. I like cuddling and giving attention to affectionate dogs.
