I have taken care of dogs my entire life. My family has had two yellow labs and currently have a chocolate lab named Jackson. Every summer in high school I used to volunteer at a local animal hospital to walk dogs. Since coming to Chapel Hill, I’ve done the same at Orange County Animal Shelter with my roommate. Last year, my roommate finally gave in and adopted Millie, a husky German Shepard mix. She was the love of my life; I walked her, ran her, fed her, took her to parks on weekends, and proudly wore her hair on EVERY piece of clothing I owned. My roommate has sadly graduated now and so has Millie leaving a massive dog hole in my heart. I’m excited however, to fill this by caring for your dogs (or cat) with the same love I’d have for my own.
