Pet care experience
I have owned 3 cats and two dogs over the years and they were part of the family as our children grew up. Our first dog was a beautiful rescue from Spain called Honey. She was 7 when she arrived with us and lived to the grand old age of 18. At 17 and a half she still managed to walk half way up Snowdon. Our second dog was an English springer spaniel called Missy. We had her from 9 weeks old. We attended a weekly puppy training course with her for about 15 months. She loved it! She also came to work with me every day. Now I am retired I travel abroad quite a bit so, rather than have a dog of my own, I look after dogs for friends and family. They are looked after as if they were my own ie in the house with the run of the garden and with twice daily walks ( one of which is a very long one in the nearby Wyre Forest). I aim for a happy, muddy dog! ( returned clean of course ! )

Edie stayed with Mike and his family for 8 nights whilst we were abroad and had a wonderful time with him. He regularly sent videos of their time together, which illustrated how happy she was with him. Our vet called and said she’d need different tablets, so Mike very kindly collected some emergency meds from the vet and also took her for a check-up. That’s a dog-lover for you! It’s the first time we’ve left Edie with anyone and we’re delighted we’ve found Mike and will try to book our next holiday around him. I actually think she’s missing him, now!
Mike took excellent care of Arla. We received daily updates and photos detailing all of the fun walks and outings she went on. We have booked again!

A typical day
Long walks in the wyre forest and along the river Severn . Lots of water for swimming and splashing in, in Dowels Brook. Playing in the garden with hunt and find games with treats ( if allowed)

Because I travel frequently I’m not able to consider dogs for long term doggy day care arrangements. I’m happy to consider shorter periods ie 1-2 weeks to cover your occasional needs. Please contact me between 7am and 8pm. I’m happy to discuss any reasonable drop off and collection times. Now I am retired I have all the time in the world to walk and play with your dog. I am fit and walk miles at a brisk pace.
