Pet care experience
We bought our house in redwood shores with large fenced yard more than a decade ago to fulfill a dream - adopting a dog. Soon after, a rescued German Shepherd girl from GSRNC joined our family. We named her "Becky". Having Becky has changed our life. We cut down our travel dramatically; alter our daily activities so we can walk Becky in the morning, before dinner and before bed-time for the last 13 years. Unfortunately, our Becky passed away at age of 17 year old in early 2022. As we mourned the loss of our "daughter" and celebrated Becky's beautiful life, we decided to open our home to offer our love to your "fur kid" and make our place the second home for your dog. We truly believe dogs are human's best friends. And they deserve our love as our family members. We stick to our policy of accepting only one dog boarded at any time (with the only exception if the second dog is from the same family). I am retired and my wife works from home. So your four-leg kid will get plenty of attention and love here :-)
Reviews
Our dog, Sierra, spent a trial night with Mike. She was nervous, but Mike was extremely attentive to Sierra during her stay. Many pictures and updates were shared with us, which was appreciated. By the time we picked her up the following day, Sierra was warming up to Chinney and Mike. We look forward to the opportunity for Sierra to have additional stays with them!
Mike and Chinny took wonderful care of our puppy, Mugsy! They gave us detailed updates everyday on his activities, his eating habits, and how we was settling in, which gave us great comfort while we were traveling. His dog photography skills are only surpassed by their attention to detail and care of our Mugsy. You can tell they really care for dogs and ensured Mugsy's first weekend stay away from us was a good experience with multiple daily walks, play time, and belly rubs. We will definitely look to them again next time we have a trip planned! Thank you Mike and Chinny!
Our timid pup usually needs time to come out of his shell, but with Mike and Chinny, I could tell that he felt at home right away. In every photo, he looked curious and playful, and Mike had a lot of fun sharing wonderful treats, which of course our pup loved. We were gone for two weeks and had peace of mind the entire time that he was being loved and cared for. We got to enjoy our vacation while our pup enjoyed being in his home away from home!
Mike was incredible with our young golden retriever! Tons of great updates and a very welcoming home for our Gusty to have spent a weekend.

As mentioned above, Becky got at least three walks a day (morning, afternoon and before bedtime). And that won't change at all for your dog. Sometime we add a fourth walk around noon depending on the situation.
