First of all, I am a dog lover and dogs have always been my best friend. I have owned dogs my whole life. When I was a kid I was the neighborhood dog sitter. Since then I have taken care of other people's dogs either in the daytime or on trips hundreds of times. I have boarded dogs for weeks at a time many times. The only times I haven't owned a dog is when my schedule and work made it impossible to give a dog the time and attention it deserves. Currently I work from home and make my own schedule and I am at home almost all the time. I have a 55 pound very athletic dog who is very non-aggressive and gets along great with other friendly, fun loving dogs. Some dogs like a lot of human and/or dog interaction and some dogs are content to do their own thing. I have never met a healthy dog who didn't need exercise and the mental stimulation that comes with satisfying their curiosity. My home is very dog friendly with a half acre fenced back yard set back from the road with woods behind that. My yard is about 80% grass and 20% wooded so their is plenty of room to exercise if your dog likes to run or play and also plenty to explore if your dog is curious. All dogs are free to roam my house and backyard and there is access to my yard through my back deck. During your dog's stay I promise I will treat your dog with the utmost care and affection and respect as if your dog were my own and do my best to create a home away from home for your dog.
