I've worked at two separate kennels in different provinces with all kinds of animals. I've worked with and owned dogs and cats, birds, small animals, reptiles, and exotic pets! I can offer leash training as well as senior and special needs care for dogs and cats. Animals are a passion of mine and I seek to befriend as many as possible!

Whenever I need to leave my dogs somewhere I am always very nervous about the care they receive. When Mikayla came in for the first visit I knew she would take great care of my dog Lily and she definitely did. She took her out for lots of potty breaks and play time and took some great pictures. Lily and our new arrival will definitely want to see Mikayla again!

Mikayla is amazing with animals. She’s kind, dedicated and emphasizes treating your dog like one of her own (which is like Royalty). Mikayla is an innately caring person and it’s shown in her interactions with animals. My dogs absolutely love Mikayla and when they’re with her, I feel at ease knowing my babies are in good hands.
Mikayla has put in work for animals for these last 2 years with a strength of character I have not seen in many people, she works 12 hour days back to back with a smile and forms strong bonds with the animals she works with, the amount of time and care she puts into her work is incredibly respectable and I am proud to see what she does for the community around her.

Let me know if your dog has any special needs or dietary restrictions such as allergies. I am willing to work with dogs with behavioral problems as long as their history is clearly stated. It is important to know if a dog has reactivity on leash, around resources (food, toys, etc.), and with other dogs/animals.
A typical day
Depending on the breed of dog all dogs require different levels of physical and mental stimulation. Long walks, short walks, hiking, and on the go training helps your dog stay healthy physically and mentally! I'm new to the area so walks with your pup will probably include a long adventure to smell all the smells and see what there is to see!

I'm currently unemployed while waiting for availabilities from local kennels so my schedule is very flexible. I can work around pretty much anything but will need advance notice.
