I grew up around animals of all kinds and even fostered puppies and dogs with my family. The first dog we had was a stray and I was so little, I called her Jumpy because all she would do was jump up and knock me over. Growing up, I was babysitting, dog sitting and house sitting to make money during the summer and on weekends. After college, I started part time pet services to make extra money on the side and that continued for a few years. Now, I am wanting to expand it full time to give the Little Rock community a safe, fun, trustworthy, reliable pet services provider. I have experience in caring for cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, fish, turtles, hamsters, chickens, and even goats. I also understand the importance of a routine, environmental needs, and medication needs for your pets. I am very active and love going to the dog park, short or long walks, or a trip to the groomer. I would love to meet you and your pet and build a long lasting relationship! P.S. I am also a plant lover and can take care of any and all your plants while you are away.

Mikayla was very flexible and responsive. She communicated and coordinated with us very well. Our cats are usually shy and scared but Mikayla was patient enough to find them during her visits and feed them treats and pet them. I would definitely recommend her to anyone in the area.
Mikayla was excellent! I was very happy with how she took care of my two kitties. She was very patient with my hissy scaredy cat. They were both taken care of and communication was good. I received updates and pictures every day she visited them. Will definitely call her again when in need of a pet sitter.

Mikayla went above and beyond while we were on vacation to make sure our baby was taken care of. She sent lots of pictures and spent time playing with her. And she cleaned up when our girl made a mess.

If the client has a fenced gate, I always check to make sure it is shut before letting the dog(s) out. My first responsibility is to do a sweep of the house to make sure there are no accidents, trash, or anything that might be harmful left out for the pet, as well as replenishing the water bowl. I give plenty of play time and belly rubs, and take walks as needed or requested by owner/client. I follow the requested feeding and medication schedule per owner/client. Upon the end of the long stay or visit, I make sure to leave the residence in the same or better condition as I arrived (clean sheets, take out trash, washing food/water bowls, loading the dishwasher).

A typical day
If the owner allows, I love going to the dog park. If it's a little too warm, we go to the very shady Murray Dog Park. On walks/excursions, I carry plenty of water and a collapsible bowl for breaks. For more active dogs, we play fetch in a fenced area (backyard) or go for a more lengthy walk on a moderate, local trail. In the spring and summer, my favorite place is Allsopp Park because they have a stream that runs through with water to play in (my dog LOVES it). I always consider the rules/routines of the dog, provided by the owner.
