I think dogs are the greatest creature on earth and I sincerely love being with them! I have been around dogs since I was a little girl growing up in Japan and throughout my entire adult life. In fact, when I came to America twenty years ago, the dogs that came into my life (a miniature Schnauzer as a puppy and a young, adult Standard Poodle I rescued ) were a tremendous benefit in helping me make the transition to living in a new country. We gave each other comfort, strength and, most importantly, unconditional love. As for my background,I am a retired dog groomer who ran a successful mobile grooming business for 18 years. I met many hundreds of dogs (and their owners) while I was a groomer - from puppies to seniors, friendly to fearful, family dogs to foster dogs, etc. Each one, in their own way, taught me how to be with them by showing me their likes, their dislikes, their fears and what made them happy. I retired as a groomer a few years ago to become an online fitness trainer, but have realized I really miss being around dogs and that is why I am posting my services on Rover. My experience with my own dogs and my years as a groomer have made me comfortable around all breeds of dogs. I love the energy of a puppy and have a special place in my heart for senior dogs. (My miniature Schnauzer lived to be 19 years old and I was there for her until her last breath.)
