Trustworthy care provider
Pet care experience
I am a long time pet parent of multiple dogs, most recently being my staffador, and two guinea pigs. I have been an animal care specialist at Ijams Nature Center for over 6 years, I have held employment doing animal enrichment for Akron zoo, and am currently apprenticing as a wildlife rehabber while fostering guinea pigs for the knoxville rescue. I have provided dog sitting services for numerous friends and family in the last 18 years, and am the go to pet sitter for them. I have genuine love for animals and always treat them with respect and with caring nature. Pets are family, and I will provide care with that mindset. You will have peace of mind knowing that I will make sure your family pet is happy, healthy, and well cared for while you are away.
Reviews
Michelle was great! She helped me so much with my high energy dogs, one who was rehabbing from heart worm treatment who needed to be completely separate from the other. She's easy to talk with, super reliable, and compassionate, excellent communication. We are grateful for her help and expertise! ❤️
Michelle is great! She was patient with my dog and attentive to her needs for her midday drop ins! It's comforting to know she can give my pup love during the middle of my long shifts.
Michelle continues to take care of our dog and feel so comfortable leaving him in her care. Thank you for giving us peace of mind!
Michelle was great! She arrived on time, sent pictures of our dog, and gave us an update! Felt very comfortable leaving Moses in her care.

I work around what your dog's routine is on a normal day. I will let your dog out, and play with them in or outside the home. I make sure any food and water dish is filled if needed. And of course, plenty of scratches. I have experience with senior dogs, blind and deaf dogs, dogs with underlying long term health conditions, such as heart problems and cancers, and am comfortable giving medications if you wish it. And as a bully mom, I am also comfortable with bully breeds, and understand their tempraments and energy levels.
Information Michelle W. would like to know about your pet
I like to know your dog's personality. Do they like to play, and what do they love to do? How does your dog react to new people, new dogs, new experiences. Does your dog have any reactive traits. How is their health. Your vet information, and how you would like me to contact you in case of an emergency. What type of routine is your dog most comfortable with. Also, any commands they know, or that you are working on together, so I can keep them in their most comfortable routine.
A typical day
I love to make sure dogs are stimulated during their times with me, as a fun way to break up the day. I will play fetch, tug or any game your dog loves to play. I will sit on the ground with them, give scratches, and I do love having conversations with dogs. They're great listeners and they love to be talked to. I have even read to dogs on occasion. I will also work through tricks and am familiar with word button training as well.
