Pet care experience
I have been around dogs and my entire life, as we always had at least one dog in our home growing up. Right now I have 2 of my own fur babies. Cutie, my eldest, has been with me for 13 years. Cutie is helpful with dogs that like to relax. Cutie also likes to be with elder dogs that enjoy their own space or dogs that need special care. I enjoy taking my fur kids out on walks, bringing them and their friends to 1000 acres dog park. My enclosed back yard provides me an ideal space to play with them as well. Roux, is the most recent addition to the household. He is super energetic and loves to play! Roux is friendly with all types of dogs and can help sociaIize dogs who are working on socialization as a goal. I used to be a volunteer at the Oregon Humane Society. I also have experience taking care of dogs that are disabled, as one of Cutie's best friends, Maya, became paralyzed about 4 years into their friendship. Maya's parents would only leave her with me because they know I provided excellent care for her. I care about people as well as dogs, in my past I have paid/taken dogs to get groomed when the owners could not, walked dogs of my friends who were too sick to get their dog out, and taken my friends dogs on special trips that the owner was not physically able to do. I board dogs at my house. My backyard is enclosed and there are 2 points of access to it so your dog can have its own entrance. I am open to taking fur babies that need the extra support in order for their stay to be successful! My home is set up so there is time for dogs to have their own space if needed. I make sure to give dogs breaks after high energy has happened. There are numerous water bowls throughout the house and back yard that are filled multiple times a day with fresh water. I have first aid dog safety supplies on hand. I give 30 minute breaks after meals so no dogs will suffer from bloat. I make sure to feed all dogs separately, so there are no food aggression issues. Communication is very important to me, and I am not shy about asking questions. I take direction well about how people interact with their pets.

Thank you for once again taking such good care of Charlie while we were out of town. He has such a wonderful time at your house.
Thanks again for watching Daisy
Great as always!
Michelle is great! Had so many updates about my pup and took special care of my young herding breed. Will definitely be rebooking!

Safety is very important to me. I monitor dogs when they are meeting each other and when they play. My home is set up so if certain dogs are not a match to hang out, they do not have to see each other.

Information Michelle T. would like to know about your pet
I don't have a breed preference. I would want to know: 1. Is your dog neutered or spayed? If they are one year or younger I can still take them if they are not. 2. Is your dog from a rescue background, or has had any traumatic past experiences? How long has your dog been with you? 3. Has your dog bitten anyone? 4. Has your dog run away before? 5. Does your dog have a collar with updated tags? Are they micro-chipped? 6. Can u provide updated vet records showing current proof of vaccinations? Is your dog current on flea/tick medication? 7. Does your dog take any medications? Are there any allergies or diagnoses I should know about? 8. Is your dog kennel trained? This does not have to be a yes. 9. Where does your dog typically sleep? 10. Does your dog suffer from separation anxiety? If so, do you have a support plan in place? 11. Has your dog been socialized? Do they normally attend a doggy day program? Do they go to the dog park or have regular play dates with other dogs? 12. Does your dog have accidents or sometimes go to the bathroom inside when they are away from home? If yes, I would ask that you provide doggy pads. 13. Does your dog have a favorite game or activity?
A typical day
The walk will depend on the needs of the dog-as some dogs like to walk with more privacy and others enjoy parks that have more encounters with other dogs. If you are comfortable with your dog being off leash at some point, I would take them to dog parks so the dog can socialize. I can also play ball or Frisbee. I also can play with stuffed animals. If you want your dog to go on a more lengthy activity I can take them to play disc golf or on a hike. I can also introduce your dogs to other dogs if they want to make new friends.
