I am an animal lover who grew up with large dogs my whole life and have experience in taking care of them, walking them, playing with them, and training them. I worked in a kennel during in high school and college, so I have actual professional experience caring for all kinds of dogs, including giving medication and rough housing with the rowdier sort. While I can't have a dog now due to my lease agreement, I am a loving cat mom to my own Chekov (Pavel Andreievich, not Anton for any Trekkies out there). And I try to get home to visit the family 70+ lb labradoodle, Duncan, as often as I can! I work a regular 9-5, Monday through Friday, but I can be available evenings and weekends for whatever your pup needs! I am willing to do overnights on the weekends, if need be! I have a backyard for you pup to run free, and am not far away from a plethora of parks, with dog parks galore. I’m in a more suburban area, so walks will be safe. I do have a cat, but he is used to having a dog around, as he interacts with our family labradoodle during visits.

Shelly has a special touch with dogs. She has been around animals her whole life. They have been her world. She was raised with large dogs and participated in their training, healthcare, walks, playtime and loving time. She is very responsible and caring. Her priority is the health and happiness of any animal in her care. Dogs respond to her and trust her totally. She has a large heart with lots of room for your fur baby.
Shelly is by far one of the kindest and most compassionate dog lovers I have ever seen. She has owned dogs in the past, and currently has a loving dog at her parent's home that she absolutely adores and visits any chance she has. I have had the honor of introducing Shelly and my own dog, a young male corgi puppy, and she instantly bonded with him, he loves his auntie Shelly! Shelly has a way with animals and is incredibly responsible with their health and well-being, as she will treat them as her own. If Shelly had a rating out of 10, I would give her a 20. Do yourself a favor and find out how amazing Shelly is, your dog will thank you for putting them in very caring and capable hands!
Shelly has grown up around dogs, and her family has had large dogs her whole life. She has been involved with all aspects of dog life from puppy to older age. She has been involved with training the dogs, care giving when they are ill or injured, has been responsible for walking them and feeding them-including giving medicine, and of course play time! She is responsible, knowledgeable and will treat your dog like family. Her love for dogs, and all animals, shows through her interaction and care for the dogs. She has a huge heart with a special place for all dogs. She is gentle, kind and loving, yet firm if need be. Our dogs and cat have trusted her without hesitation, and adored her. I highly recommend her to take care of your fur baby.
Shelly loves dogs and cares for each pup like it’s her own. My dog might love her more than he love me (and that’s saying something). She’s great with his energy and how clingy he can be. 10/10 would recommend!

I love all breeds and have taken care of all breeds while working at the kennel all through high school. Big, small, medium, I adore them all. I grew up with larger dogs, and am a tall girl myself, so handling a large breed is natural to me. I like to know the dogs history with other pets, how they behave on walks (in case we come across another dog on the road, kids approach us, etc.), the dog’s temperate, how he likes to play, and any special care he needs.
A typical day
This is really dependent of the dog. If a dog is active and rambunctious, we will wrestle and play (the family labradoodle is getting to an age where he can’t wrestle anymore and it’s a sad feeling), walks are always a must. I am an experienced and pro ball player, so fetch is a go to. If your dog is more laid back, we can relax together and snuggle, while enjoying plenty of belly rubs.

Availability
I work 9-5, M-F but am home all day on the weekends and all evening. I have the availability to work from home, in an extreme circumstance, so if I am sitting for a pet that needs 24/7 care, I would be able to be there!
