Pet care experience
I grew up in the Midwest with a menagerie of dogs - Dachshunds, an Airedale terrier and a variety of rescue dogs (many with serious anxiety issues). Since then I have worked for Capital Petsitters and I am currently an active foster for Homeward Trials and have fostered, rescued and owned nearly 100 dogs. I would love to have a dog of my own more, but I work full time in the international sector and with my travel schedule it would be unkind to get a dog. The good news is I am ready to shower your pup with all the love and attention that I have pent up! I have dog bowls for food and water (I like to throw in some ice cubes for fun), a super comfy dog bed and freshly-cleaned fuzzy blankets for pups to snuggle up on the furniture. I live one block away from the West End dog park as well as a ton of great trails.

Michelle provided excellent care for Taro. He gets anxious around new people and you could tell how comfortable he was with her immediately as well as the rest of the stay.
Michelle is the hostess with the mostest! She welcomed Omar into her home with open arms and he immediately felt right at home. I like that she shared updates often and brings him along during her fun outdoor activities. It’s nice knowing he’s being entertained and kept happy while I was missing him dearly. I’m so happy it worked out that we found you Michelle!

Safety and trust are hugely important to me. I always offer an in-person or virtual meet and greet with new clients and I am almost always available via phone/text or email in real-time. Pets are members of the family so I consider the responsibility of taking care of your pet the same as taking care of a child or loved one.

I will always ask if your dog is a rescue dog or has a history of aggression against humans and/or other dogs. I'll ask about leash manners, but will NEVER take your dog off leash when we're together. I will only ever take your dog to the dog park a block from my house if you indicate it's ok. Brief medical history is also required as well as contact information for your vet.
A typical day
I live one block away from the West End dog park if you’re pup is friendly! Rest assured I’ll only take your dog here if we discuss it in advance, but some social pups really love the experience.

I own my own business and work from home full time so am easily available to spend lots of time with your pup. Regular walks are a wonderful excuse to take a work break :-)
