I Love Dogs!
Pet care experience
As a child, I had two dogs - a small and a large dog. As an adult, I've fostered rescue puppies, dogs and watched dogs of family and friends. I've taken all kinds of dogs on lots of walks, and had them stay with me in my home. I love dogs!

Michelle is totally awesome with people and animals! According to their own accounts, children and families benefit hugely from Michelle's work as social worker with them. And animals love her! She is loving, patient and kind with pets. She has a structured, safe and welcoming home environment for pets which allows them to have fun with her and also feel safe. Michelle has fostered a number of dogs. I don't know who is more sad when their time together is over: she or the dogs for whom she has cared so lovingly. Michelle has also taken in our families' dogs as famiies have been on vacation. That is a treat for both our pets and Michelle. I would highly recommend Michelle to be with any pets who could use a loving, safe and fun home environment.
Michelle has taken care of our golden retriever/newfie on a couple of occasions. She is wonderful with him and he loves seeing her! She is attentive, conscientious, caring and loves animals. Her home is welcoming and she does a lot to make animals comfortable. I would recommend her 100%!

I have a huge fenced in yard. I live with my boyfriend and our home is quiet. We have 7 stairs up to bedroom from main floor and 7 stairs down to family room from main floor. We also have 4 stairs off of back deck to yard. We can give the dogs lots of attention. We go on lots of walks. We have no children and no other pets.

Please let me know ahead of time if your dog requires any medical attention or has any behavioral issues. I would like to start with smaller dogs and puppies, but am open to larger dogs for shorter time periods. It would help if your dog is bathed and if possible, nails clipped before coming over for an overnight. We have hardwood floors.
A typical day
We will go for lots of walks, play in the huge fenced in backyard and do lots of petting and snuggling. I love to go to nearby parks or trails for long walks.

Availability
I work full-time so unless the dogs are crate and potty trained, I'm not comfortable leaving them at home for 9 -10 hours during the work week. I am free (not working) most weekends, on school holidays and all of summer and my schedule opens up during that time.
