Pet care experience
Hello! With 45 years of "Fur Baby" experience, I enjoy taking care of pets big and small. I am familiar with care for the very young and curious to seniors with different needs and routines. I have a lot of patience and energy and a knack of connecting well and quickly with animals. Recently, I have been referred to as a dog whisperer but I claim only to be a true animal lover. I believe that animals can sense this and it puts them at ease with me. I think my role with your pet(s) is to make their health and happiness a priority during my time with them, assuring them they are still OK and safe during your absence. Currently, I am available for walks and visits early morning before 7AM and after 5PM on weeknights. Weekends I have more flexibility. I f I am doing an overnight for your dog I would include food, water and love for your cat free of charge. An overnight stay that is instead a night out ex: 6PM- 10PM I would happily discount due to not staying overnight. Please, let me know if I can answer any questions you may have before making this important decision. I am more than happy to get back to you as quickly as possible.

Michelle is a kind, caring, and compassionate person. As a manager (we used to work together), she was awesome to work with. They always say work is more about who you work with than the job itself, and just her presence made the workplace a nicer place to be. She always worked hard, and no matter what she was doing, she was always upbeat and had a smile on her face. She's just one of those people that you love to be around because she always gives off such a positive aura. From a pet standpoint, my dog Rocky absolutely loves her! One time, I had Rocky on a leash outside my place when Michelle stopped by, and he was so excited to see her, he pulled right out of my hand and jumped in the open window of her car (pretty impressive for an 80lb dog)! Animals are such wonderful judges of character, so the fact that my dog loves her so much speaks volumes! I would have Michelle take care of my fur babies any time, and I always know that without a doubt they'd be getting the best care possible.
We have an 11 year old black lab/doberman mix. She is somewhat timid and tends to stick to herself. This can prove somewhat of a challenge when trying to find someone to watch her when we go on holiday. Michelle is one of the few people that Calypso will interact with on a playful level. Cali actually seems to look forward to seeing Michelle. She understands when we ask her if she wants to go see Michelle. And we know that when she is with her we don't have to worry about her at all. I'm not sure what she does with our dog, but she always seems to want to go back for more. I have a feeling she smothers her with love and affection. Spoils her, so to speak. ?

I would like information about the dogs temperament and His or hers likes and dislikes. If there is more than one it is helpful to know how they walk (ex: separately or together? on the right/left side? or does one always leads? If I am walking a single dog I want to be consistent with the training and continue, for instance, if they walk right next to you or enjoy walking slightly ahead. Any limitations I should be aware of? Tricks to practice? Treats or praise? Allowed on furniture? Crated/ If so when? Behind the ears scratched or only likes belly rubs? Our communicating just a handful of minutes will result in a happier visit for your dog and more peace of mind for you. Looking forward to getting to know about your pet!
A typical day
I take my lead from the owners as well as the dogs themselves when it comes to exercise for the day. Sometimes a leisurely walk on a hot day with a break for water and a nice brush down in the shade is needed and other times an alternating walk/jog is preferred followed by water and a nice petting time. Chasing down balls, catching toys, Frisbee play and pool time are all so much fun! I look forward to hearing what your dogs will enjoy.
