Loving and Responsible Caretaker
Pet care experience
I've been caring for pets in their own homes for the last 15 years. I believe the home is a safer and more comfortable environment for our pets while away. I prefer to get acquainted with all new clients in person in advance of a new pet sitting opportunity so as to personally review all details of your pet's routine, favorite toys and emergency contact information. For check-in's or overnight stays, I provide a minimum of 3 walks between the hours of 7am and 10pm usually between 4-6 hours apart. Each "night"is for 24 hours starting the time you need me to start. I am a big fan of cuddling with your pet and giving treats so you may want to be specific about the treats they can have and how much. Depending on what your dog needs, a walk can last between 15-30 minutes. I'm very active and love to get going when I'm outside. I usually err on the side of caution with older pets. With the exception of multiple dogs, I don't charge for administering medication or all those "extras" like the boutique shops do. I will administer medication to any pet topically or orally as needed. I do not administer medication intravenously. If there is something I cannot do, I will let you know in advance so you can find an appropriate care taker. I do have a big car with doggy steps so I can assist with transportation. Some clients have me drop off and pickup their pet from a doggy day care facility. It's most important that I have a trusting relationship with my clients in the best interest of the pets I care for. My customers use me because my care is not just for your pet but for your home as well. I assist my overnight clients with coordinating vendor maintenance, mail and packages, trash and recycling and employ home security best practices. When I get a request for a pet sitting opportunity, I confirm any appointments a week in advance by text or email and then I call a couple days ahead. As soon as I arrive, I usually send a text picture of your pet to let you know all is well. Upon completion of a pet care job, I will write up a summary but will contact you directly over the course of the job if I have any questions or concerns. Because I serve all my clients with the highest level of respect, I must act in accordance with the care and safety of your pet. With that said, I have occasionally had to decline repeat care requests if for any reason I feel I am unable to provide the appropriate care your pet needs.
Reviews
Michelle was a great dog sitter. She responded to my inquiry quickly, and was very timely in our communications throughout. She went the extra mile, taking my dog on walks and sending me notes and pictures which I found very reassuring. I would definitely use her again.
Michelle was the best sitter we've had. She genuinely loves animals and was very attentive towards our dog while we were gone. She also went the extra mile to water our lawn and made sure our high energy lab was well exercised. We could tell after returning home that our dog was happy and comfortable.
One of the most reliable sitters you can find, highly recommended!
Michelle did great with my very hyper lab, highly recommended!

Information Michelle P. would like to know about your pet
The most important things I like to know about your dog is its routine. It is so important to maintain your pets schedule to provide a comfortable atmosphere when you are away.
A typical day
If your dog likes to socialize, I love going to a local pet park. I'm very active so if your dog likes to walk fast, he has found a friend in me! My favorite dog game is tug of war and I like trying to teach dogs new tricks but I've never been very successful because I'm a pushover with the treats.
