Pet care experience
I love dogs - all dogs; it can be a problem. I squeal in the car when we see one passing by. I stop and pet as many dogs as I can when I am out and about by myself. It goes beyond them just being cute - I am invested and I want to know their name, their temperament...their story. My husband and I have a Miniature Schnauzer named Pippa. She is sassy and bold - a much bigger personality than her 22 lb frame would suggest - and wants to befriend ALL dogs. We walk together, the three of us, twice a day to explore, get fresh air, and meet other dogs. She loves the social aspect and we love the exercise. Why not add a new friend or two to the group? We can explore the beautiful paths, trails, and neighborhoods nearby. With the two of us together, there are always a set of hands free and we think it would be a blast! If your dog is not social, no problem. Matthew and I can divide and conquer. We are happy to split up - I can take your dog while he walks with Pippa. We would want everyone to feel comfortable and "at home".

As Michelle's sister, I know I can be slightly biased but I fully support Michelle as a sitter. She adores dogs and along with her own, Pippa, she meets and plays with nearly every one of them that will let her! She is very interactive with her own pup and loves to play with and comfort my own rescue dog. She is patient with him and loving, despite his reservations. She has helped him open up and become more playful by bringing Pippa into his life. Her and I grew up with dogs our whole life and we know how different they can be but in the end, how much joy there is too!

We are terrier people (so we understand stubborn!) but love all dogs. We would prefer a low shedding breed (if they are coming over to our place) but can be flexible, especially if they are on the smaller size. We would only consider house-trained dogs for visits inside our home. We would need to also know any obvious fears they might have (men, children, cars, bikes, etc.) and allergies!
