Pet care experience
I've had my sweet, goofy and energetic Jessie since 2014. I've shared pets with others and housed dogs for friends plenty of times over the years as well! Now that I'm working from home full time, I'd love to give other owners the chance to bring their dogs somewhere safe where they have a playmate so they can go to work without worrying about their babies feeling lonely or restless! While I spend the most time with the pups, my husband is around and is a great caretaker. We do sometimes have pups from mixed families in the home, so it’s important to know initially how your baby does with new friends. We also appreciate having pups who are crate and/or potty trained.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand that everyone has different rules in their own homes, and I try to remember that when another person's pet is in my home. I know that my disciplinary commands might be different than other owners', and I try to give grace to other pets in my home. I do my best to set our guests up for success! Guest pets are supervised outside until I know they are trustworthy (won't dig holes, chew on bushes, etc.), and are always walked on a leash. We have a tall fence, pups CANNOT jump over it or get through if that is a concern that you have. I keep food and treats out of reach for safety (in case of allergies or territorial issues). My husband is also around and is great with pets! However, I am the primary caregiver as I spend the most time with the dogs.

Information Michelle M. would like to know about your pet
I do sometimes have pups from other families in the home, so it is important to know if your baby plays nicely with others or if there are any special situations that we need to stay mindful of. For example, we need to know if there are special feeding instructions, issues with toys, attention, etc. I also appreciate being notified if a dog should be crated when I'm not in the house out of respect for my own home if the dog is prone to chewing or any other behavior that might cause damage. Sometimes I'm able to walk both dogs at once, but if your pup is reactive or a bit more active on the leash, it helps to know ahead of time! Lastly, what does your dog need to succeed? What commands do they respond best to? Language is different in every home, let me know what language/tone works for your dog!
A typical day
Each day starts with a morning potty break. During the hot summer months, walks are done earlier in the morning before pavement/outside gets too dry and hot. This is usually once temperatures get 95+. We always take a 40+ minute walk each day, it's our daily ritual!

Availability
Working from home full time allows me to give your pet long, daily walks, which we do in a park connected to our neighborhood. We also have a fenced in backyard so potty breaks are frequent. Sometimes we have pups from mixed families in the home which usually means extra play time for your baby! On weekdays, I ask that owners drop off/pick up between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm. Anything outside of that can be worked out through additional discussion. We do prefer drop offs earlier in the day so that your babe can get acclimated and be able to wind down easier later in the evening.
