Yes, they can sleep on my bed! 🐾🐕🐾

Pet care experience

I'm mad about dogs! I've had dogs since I was a child. I give them the complete run of the home - including sleeping on the furniture and my bed. Amazingly, I can housetrain a pup in 2 days! All the dogs in my neighbourhood know me and always greet me with a waggy tail and a slobber! My friends, family and neighbours trust me to care for their dogs and always come to me for canine advice. I have a 30 year old daughter with special needs who lives with me - and she loves cuddling and caring for the dogs too. I particularly understand Cavalier and Cava-crosses, Spaniels, cavachons, etc - and don't mind their moulting and muddy paws. I have had 6 cavaliers in my adult life. Currently I have a tri Cav called Penelope who recently lost her mate and loves having doggy company at home. She's lazy at home - but when she's outside she's like a Springer and loves chasing squirrels in the woods behind our home. I work from home and love having company whilst I'm in my studio. I have security cameras at home and if the dogs don't follow me into my workroom (very rare) - I keep an eye on them with the cameras. I'm always available for video chats with the pups and send daily photos. My home is super doggy safe - you have to enter through 2 doors to reach the hidden house and we have a large garden with concrete walls. The house also has a doggy flap. Plus we're next to the nature reserve of Coldfall Woods where we walk everyday. I also put trackers on the dogs when we go out for walks. I know how to give medication and socialise dogs together.

We loved our stay with Michelle, she is very caring, thoughtful and knowledgeable about dogs. She took care to help our 2-year old Maltese girl adapt to the new environment, including letting her sleep on the bed ? Michelle also made sure to have a tracker on all pups at all times to make sure everyone is safe. Really enjoyed our stay ??

Michelle provided a warm and caring household and was very attentive to my dog's health and well-being for her entire 2.5 week stay. Michelle clearly loves animals and is very reliable and sensible, and asks questions as needed. She communicated regularly with me about how my dog was settling in and their activities and sent me photos on whatsapp that I requested periodically so I could see she was being well looked-after. I'm so pleased that Michelle provided a good holiday home for our little princess, we will definitely do so in the future as needed.

Our friendly but quite clingly puppy hadn't stayed anywhere overnight without us before spending six days with Michelle but she seemed to settle in very well and was very happy. We'd done a few 'taster' sessions first for a few hours each, so when we came to drop her off she was keen to go in to Michelle's, which is always a good sign. Michelle is patient and super cautious to take every care with your dog to keep them safe and happy. Very happy to recommend her.

I have a super, secure fenced garden - when you will visit you will understand that you you have to pass 2 locked gates before reaching my hidden house. I also put Vodafone trackers on my dogs at all times - you can't be too careful. I also have a certificate in Canine First Aid Level 2 (VTQ). I know how to administer medication for dogs, except injections which I'm willing to learn if you need regular day care. I'm fully insured for dog boarding and daycare.

Information Michelle H. would like to know about your pet

It's important that I meet you and your dog beforehand to know that they get along with my resident dog Penelope, and my daughter who has special needs. My daughter loves having dogs around - she's 30 and has had dogs her whole life - and loves new dogs that she can cuddle up with. She's also responsible for medicating Penelope and routine care.

A typical day

We go regularly in the afternoons to Coldfall Woods which is behind my house. And we also go in the car to Hampstead Heath, Highgate Woods, Grovelands and other nearby beauty spots. Walks often end with a warm shower on our feet and tummies - especially when the weather has been muddy.

I work from home and include at least one long walk per day in Coldfall Woods behind my house. I have a big garden where we play, and the dogs love chasing our numerous squirrel visitors! The dogs normally follow me from the main house to my workroom where I chat and pet them whilst I'm working. We also go in the car to other nearby beauty spots.
