Fenced yard, lots of attention!

Pet care experience

I have over 20 years of experience as dog owner, and I'm looking forward to having other dogs for my pups to play with. I will treat your dog like part of the family. Most dogs sleep on a bed on the floor in my room, but can be kenneled if that is YOUR preference, or squeeze in bed with the rest of us if thats what they are used to. I'm ok with dogs being on the furniture. I have experience with large breed dogs (over 100 lbs) and formerly owned a 135lb great Dane. I also love small snuggly lap dogs (I don't get too much if that with my big guys who would rather sprawl on the floor for naps!) I will accept 2 dogs from the same family, but typicall try to avoid accepting pets from separate families unless there is just a small overlap (same day drop off / pick up type of situation) I do not accept German Shephards, pit bulls, bull dogs or other dogs which may be considered high risk. I do not accept dogs with any form of aggression / irritability over food (even though I feed in separate rooms), toys, bedding, doorways, other dogs (there is a fenced - but very sweet dog next door, and many dogs in the neighbor where we take walks), or a history of "escape appempts" (aka dashing out the front door) etc. (All unfortunate but do to some bad experiences) I'm are happy to do whatever I can to help accommodate your pets schedule and any special needs

Michelle is the BEST sitter EVER!!! My dog, Layla absolutely loves her and Michelle treats her with so much love and care. It's a blessing to have found her :)

We have been using Rover for years. We have never had any problems until now. Getting a message as we are standing in customs to a foreign country, that says "Your dog attacked my dog!" Shows you have communication problems. Why not just ask us to call you? Instead of making us take laps around the anxiety pool. After many hours on the phone, we get our dog back home. We now can't get all of our belongings back because Michelle won't communicate with us. Once again, communication problems. We are very dissapointed in the way Michelle and Rover have handled the issue.

We all Love Michelle! My weims are a little apprehensive when it comes to new people sometimes and this visit was such a hit! This was their second time and they remembered them and took to them immediately! She took them for walks, brushed them every day and took care of them just like as if they were at home! She even sent updates with pics a couple times a day. Will definitely be back!

I am very confident leaving my goldendoodle with Michelle! She is knowledgeable about dogs, very accommodating, and communicated daily. My dog loves playing with her two pups, Michelle and her husband take the dogs hiking and are very active with them. I definitely recommend.

Safety, trust & environment

I have a fully fenced (4ft high) and secure yard. Dogs are allowed free access to the house or yard. I always feed in separate rooms, and minimize "treats" throughout the day in case of allergies / possible unknown food agression issues. I do have a separate room "treat" (kong or challenging treat toy that requies some effort to retrieve the goodies!) offered 2x a day to "make up" for this. If your dog is typically kenneled while I might be away from the home or at night, happy to acommodare this.

Home

Lives in a house
Has a fenced yard
Non-smoking household
Has 2 dogs
No children present
Dogs allowed on bed
Dogs allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 0-2 hours

Information Michelle H. would like to know about your pet

Is your dog Housebroken? Has your dog ever shown aggression towards people or other animals over food, toys, bedding, doorways etc? Is your dog up to date on all recommended vaccines (including influenza) (need copy if current records) and do they take regular heartworm flea and tick treatments? Good with other animals? Sleep /eat /potty schedule? Medications / special medical needs / mobility issues/ care for wounds or other medical conditions? What bad habits might I expect (counter surfing, sock stealing, toy destroyers) and what is the best way to manage? You can't scare me!

A typical day

We go on walks in our neighborhood, hikes at local parks, enjoy playing in the yard, and swimming or water play in the back yard. And, of course, cleaning up (brushing and/or bathing) if we've gotten dirty after all that fun.
