I ShihTzu Not I'm a Pawsome Dog Sit

Pet care experience

I Shih-Tzu Not, I'm a Pawsome Dog Sitter! My boyfriend, Edward and I have been a couple for 4 years and friends for longer. I decided to do Rover as I was looking for ways for a little extra cash after our dog became extremely ill and was in the animal hospital for a couple days. Unfortunately, she did not make it but we still need to cover some of her vet bill's. I currently work full time as a Medical Assitant and go to school full-time. I am striving to become a nurse and possibly consider continuing my education afterwards. Edward use to work as a correctional officer and now does security at many bars and one retail store. If you were to board with us, we do have different schedules when it comes to work. Edward is home during the day and I am home at night and on the weekends. So there will always be someone with your baby. We decided to continue to provide service with animal care assistance because we love animals and it takes away the silence of not having our own dog with us anymore. I have taken care of dogs, cats and one bearded dragon in my 25 years of life. As for Edward, he has much more experience than I with a variety of animals (chickens, pigs, goats, horses, dogs, etc.).He is also more experience with large breeds and has some experience with obedience training. After Hurricane Irma, I took in 1 mother dog and 7 puppies at a day old prior to Irma making landfall. All those babies did survive, received medical treatment before going to their new families. One of which is now a service dog and all very loving dogs in general. Edward rescued his recent love, Dixie, after she was surrendered to a rescue because the original owners could no longer breed her anymore. Before I was only considering walks and drop in visits, but if you need someone to hold your animal for a couple nights, We will be available to do that as well. We do have 3 cats, Angel, Snickers, and Freya. So please let us know if your pets are not cat friendly. Freya is a kitten and highly curious, therefore, if your dog is cat aggressive; I will deny the service. I do sometimes make exceptions, depending on the energy of your dog.

Michelle made my weekend very comfortable for me when I had to leave out of town for a few days. I was not able to take my husky puppy on the trip this last go around and needed a sitter. Michelle asked a lot of really good questions concerning Cherokee right from the start. Threw out the weekend she touched base with me with videos and pictures of Cherokee playing and having fun. On my returns from my vacation I could see how much fun my puppy had. 5 out 5 stars from me and hope any body in need would use Michelle. And the price was very reasonable.

Information Michelle G. would like to know about your pet

Cat Friendly? Dog Friendly? Potty trained? Teething? Do you have a kennel for them to stay in at night? What are their preferred activities? Is there anything that need to be reinforced during their stay (example: not allowed on couch)?

A typical day

We have a fenced in yard which gets treated every 3-4 months for fleas and ticks. We have plenty or room for dogs to run and play and we sometimes like to participate in all the craziness (tug a war, fetch). We have a dog park 10 mins from the house.
