Avid animal lover & caretaker

Pet care experience

I’ve loved animals my entire life and we’ve always had at least one dog around. I’ve been relied on for pet care by friends and family from a young age and have also professionally worked with animals in day care, boarding, and kennel settings. And now those who know me regularly come to me for advise on care for their pets, and I’m always very happy to offer whatever help I can or learn more from someone else or another source if it’s a topic I’m not as educated on so that I can provide better help in the future. I have 3 dogs of my own. An old husky named Ember who I’ve raised since she was six weeks old; A maltipoo named Wilson who came as a package with I got together with my spouse and whom I’ve helped to turn from a stranger-aggressive tyrant into a dog that is now friendly and social in public; And our youngest Anubis, a hyper, clever German Shepherd mix. I also have the joy of caring for a cat of my own: my feisty little Valkyrie who we adopted as a kitten. I have experience with all sizes and temperaments of dogs and cats and am willing to work with difficult pets as well. Whatever your pet needs, I will do my best to provide during their service.

Michelle was just wonderful to work with. Having a new pup can be difficult enough at times and booking last minute was a breeze with Michelle. She showed up on time and excited to play with Milo. He absolutely loved his time with her. I appreciate how she listened to my preferences (rules) and even implemented some training into their play. She is very knowledgeable and reliable. We will definitely be using Michelle again.

Michelle has been a trusted caregiver for all my fur babies, there is nobody else as caring and loving who can go above and beyond for any pet need. She’s the BEST for any pet big or small, And my mini goldendoodle, Riley, loves when I say Michelle’s name! It makes me feel so comfortable to know that I have Michelle in my life and my fur babies, Riley is my whole world and I know he’s always in the best hands!

Michelle loves Dogs! She's has worked in the pet hotel at Petsmart for about 3 years. She's very responsible on her duties. Show would like to have her own doggy daycare in the future. She won't jerk your dog around on the leash and will give it the extra love and attention it needs while you're away.

I have known Michelle for a long time. She has dog sit with all my dogs, a lot. My dogs love her and she is truely responsible. My animals are my kids so I am picky. I know Michelle would be a great asset to your business.

I like to try to match the pet’s pace during their walks. I’m not much of a runner, but I’ve got some long legs and have a fast walking pace. If they just want to go-go-go that is fine with me, or if they’re more of the chill, sniff around and stroll leisurely along type, we can take it nice and easy. For drop in visits, I will not let dogs out into a yard unless it is securely fenced in, and I will never allow a cat to go outdoors while they are in my care. If you don’t have a secure yard but your pup still needs to get out during the visit, I’m happy to take them on a quick walk as long as there is a leash and collar provided.

Information Michelle F. would like to know about your pet

I would need to be aware of their temperament, (especially anything that might trigger a fearful/aggressive reaction in particular so that I am aware of what to look out for and avoid doing to keep both your pet and I comfortable and safe), their approximate age, and if they have any health concerns that I should be aware of (bad hips, diabetic, allergies, etc.)

A typical day

-Playing indoors or outdoors (for drop-ins, if you have a secure yard) -Walks around the neighborhood and on safe, side walked roadways. -I can give oral medication and apply ointments, ear flushes, insulin injections, etc. as necessary. Just let me know ahead of time and give me any instructions for how your dog needs to take the medication.

I currently work a full time job that takes priority over any pet walking or sitting jobs. I will typically only provide care during my days off, however as long as you’re willing to negotiate on times I may be able to make an exception and care for your pet before or after shifts at work as well.
