Empathetic & Responsible Care

Pet care experience

Hey folks. In my professional experience, I have worked at several different animal hospitals throughout the U.S as a veterinary assistant/tech. This includes small, large, and exotic veterinary medicine. The training I have acquired through these employment opportunities allows me to understand animals' needs and respond appropriately while they are in my care. My personal experience caring for animals began in childhood, as our family included multiple dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, turtles, and fish. Currently, my non-human family member is a Crested Gecko. I enjoy caring for their bioactive tank. I would enjoy caring for your reptile(s) as well.

Michelle did a wonderful job with our 2 older pups, we came home to very happy dogs after 3 days of dog sitting. We will definitely use her again in the future!

Michelle made drop-in visits with Maggie on 2 days, going well beyond expectations in giving special care, as well as exercise. Maggie enjoys her company. I highly recommend Michelle for care of any pets.

Safety, trust & environment

Treat them like family and help them feel as comfortable & safe as possible while they are away from theirs. I try to maintain their normal routine as much as possible in their or my home. Overall, my home is pretty calm, so animals that prefer a quiet environment would likely feel the most comfortable here. Otherwise, there is a gated animal park where I live and plenty of areas to go for walks/play outside. My toddler would enthusiastically participate in walks and play time, so long as the animal is comfortable with small children.

Information Michelle C. would like to know about your pet

The following applies to all animals- ok/not with toddlers, energy level (if boarding), special needs, medications (including flea and tick), health conditions, recent travel history, and immunization status.

A typical day

I would tailor this to the species. In general- walks and/or running outside, fetch/playtime (toys), ear & belly scratches, and any other activities that they are used to engaging in with their family members.
