Pet care experience
I have focused on animal care for over 17 years. I have an eye to easily cater to dog/cat needs, especially for their comfortability and fun having. Experience with: •Administering some meds, one being canine chemo medication. •Brushing dogs teeth •Dog treat making •Dog walking big and small dogs- I currently volunteer at HES animal shelter as a weekly dog walker. I deal with scared dogs there on a regular. I have 200 hours worth of walking dogs at shelter, that do not know me until I’m taking them out of their kennels for their first stroll with me. Alot of these poor unfortunate dogs have never walked on a leash before. •Dog boarding- 8 years ago, I was the overnight care taker of dogs and facility, at a kennel free dog boarding place back in Illinois. My job was to: clean up the facility, prepare their food overnight for am breakfast, hangout with them, and to lie down with them to get them to sleep for the night. The shelter I spoke of, I joined it after losing my beloved furry boy to cancer back in 2022. That’s when I realized how much I need to give my love to other animals. I have watched many dogs big and small, as well as cats, chickens, one time 3 horses. Caring for animals gives me a great sense of purpose. It ables me to give pet parents comfort in knowing when their animals are in my care, I will give them the love and respect they deserve as if they were my own, while their family is away.

Michelle is a wonderful dog sitter! She is calm and soothing with our dogs and we can't think of anyone else we would entrust them to. If you care about your furry loved ones like we do, than my wife and I strongly recommend her. We have used several others on Rover, one who was outstanding (no longer watches dogs) and one that was beyond poor. Michelle is someone we trust not only with our fur babies but in our home.
Michelle went above & beyond for our Yorkie & 2 kittens. She spent more time with them than we imagined and loved on them & spoiled them. We will definitely use her again in the near future! Best pet sitter ever! Thanks again!
I met Michelle for the 1st time at a Humane Educational Society (HES) event meeting in May 2023. Michelle was very nice, friendly & willing to help in any way she could. I started volunteering with HES in March & started walking dogs in May. I really got to know Michelle better, once I started to walk dogs on Thursday mornings. She was scheduled for the same time. Michelle was very focused on working with every dog she walked. Last summer, HES obtained almost 60 dogs from a hoarding situation in Ooltewah TN. The shelter was already so full they had to house 2-3 of them together in outside yards, with dog houses etc. The volunteers would clean these areas out daily. Many of these dogs were very scared & skittish, which was understandable with the living conditions they had been in! They were not familiar with human contact. On one occasion, I observed Michelle sitting outside in the yard, with one of the dogs who had been terrified & did not want to be moved. She just sat there doing & saying nothing so this dog could check her out. This was after we had finished walking dogs & I was heading home that I happened to see her in the yard. Eventually the dog went over to her & started playing a little bit. Michelle also attends classes whenever possible to help her understand the dog’s body language & teach them commands. She’s always trying to improve any way possible. Just recently there was a dog who was also timid & shy. Michelle was determined to win this dog over!! One Thursday after we’d walked all the dogs, she stayed & took this dog out to one of the play yards & just waited again until the dog finally came over to her, sniffed her then let her pet on him. By the time she was done, he was running & playing with her, even giving her kisses & loving. Michelle is a very dedicated, reliable, patient & animal loving person. She even adopted a HES rescue dog that had behavior issues & is working diligently with her. I would let her take care of my dog anytime!!

I have a new rescue in my home, which limits me at the moment, to only doing pet sitting at clients home. I will always honor what you ask of me. Just know I will play and engage with them. We will cozy up on the couch to hangout and watch tv. All the while, I will talk to them in a playful voice and most likely make voices for them too! Your animals will be under my care as if they were my own! Those are things I do to connect with my animals.

A typical day
I will walk your dogs daily, and most Importantly be kind and courteous to their boundaries. If they want to, will play with them however they like or we can chill and just hangout in eachothers company. We can play: • In your backyard, playing fetch. • I can run around with them •If that’s not their style, we can chill and sit and nature watch • I could do car joy rides if warranted, especially for those senior dogs that can’t walk well anymore, but still like going on a little neighborhood joy sniff ride. •We can nap together • I want to provide fun entertainment as well as needed calmness for your fur baby while you are away.
