Dedicated dog lover/trainer
Pet care experience
I’ve spent countless hours walking, enriching and training dogs while volunteering with Stray Rescue and The Crestwood Animal Shelter. I’m well versed in keeping reactive and high energy dogs safe and enriched. I specialize in long walks & hikes. I’ve taken my dogs and shelter dogs through many training classes and I have gone through the apprentice clicker training program with The Greater St Louis Trainjng Club. I love working with dogs and teaching them basic manners. I also love walking and exercising dogs. It’s very rewarding to see a nervous, stressed dog become more relaxed with exercise and training. I use only positive reinforcement. I train only with praise, pets and approved treats when the desired behavior is achieved. Dogs are my greatest passion in life!
Reviews
Michelle went above and beyond to care for our dog and cat. One day when it was raining she came back later to make sure our dog got a good walk. I would definitely use her again if we traveled!
I work with Michelle at Crestwood Animal Shelter and she is very dedicated to the wellbeing and care of all the dogs. She makes sure the dogs are all exercised and keep safe on all their walks.I know the pet parents will have peace of mind knowing their dogs are cared for by Michelle.
Michelle is a true dog lover. She is one of those dog savvy people who just naturally connects with them, reads them and their interactions very well. She is compassionate about dogs and their well being. Michelle is energetic, enthusiastic and passionate about dogs. She volunteers her time at shelters where she walks dogs, works with them on their manners to help them get adopted. She is always willing to lend a hand to search for lost dogs at a moment’s notice. Michelle has taken care of all 3 of my dogs and I trust her. I would not hesitate to recommend her to family, friends or you. She would truly be an asset to Rover.com.
I would not hesitate to have Michelle walk or care for my dogs. In addition to handling her own "quirky" dogs, she has walked dogs for shelters for several years. Instead of the standard 10-15 walks, Michelle always spends additional time and will go for extended hikes. She is one of the few volunteers who comes every day and can handle even difficult dogs. She has also taken classes at the Greater St Louis Training Club and can work with dogs on basic obedience.
