Even if it's just for one night, you can relax and rest assured that your dog will be safe, happy, and well cared for in my loving, pet friendly home! Specializing in "SMALL DOG" breeds. I only host small sized dogs in my home. I find that my guest dog's owners are typically more comfortable with this arrangement. My main concern is always for the safety of all my tiny guests, my own small dogs and my children. I also work as a special education preschool teacher Mon - Fri. I'm off on the weekends, during all of the school breaks, and most of the summer which is usually when people go on vacation and dog sitters are most needed! I do not work long hours. During the weekdays I will be gone from 8:30 to 1:30. My dogs are used to me being away for a bit during the week and happily play and rest until I arrive home. If I'm watching your dog on the weekend, I will be home to play and supervise all day! I would be happy to watch your dog during the work week, however, please be aware that DROP OFF/PICK UP times on weekdays must be between 7:00 and 8 AM or between 2:00 and 8:00 PM. Peace of Mind Dog Sitting closes at 8 pm. If you are unable to pickup your dog by 8 PM, you will be charged for an additional night. Thank you for understanding. I love all animals, especially dogs. I've always had a nurturing personality and wanted to be a veterinarian when I was a little girl. I grew up with dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish, snakes and ferrets. As I got older I realized I loved children just as much as I loved dogs and became a special education preschool teacher. Although my career doesn't revolve around animals, I love to surround myself with them in my personal life. The doggy guests that are in my home will become part of my family for as long as they stay. I have a large home sitting on a fenced in property where your dog can run and play. If you're not comfortable with your dog running freely in a large yard, I also have a smaller fenced in area right outside the back door where your dog can play securely. Inside my house I have a spacious dog room. The doggy area is a large tiled room with plenty of dog beds. It is cozy and safe and ensures that your dog is not left to roam the entire house unsupervised. Your dog will be kept in this area when I'm out. All dogs who are not from the same family will be separated when I'm not home to supervise. When I'm home, your pup will be part of our household. Our guests will be able to run around and explore, play with my kids and cuddle with us on the couch. I live with my husband, Matt, who helps out a lot with the dogs and my children who are extremely gentle with all animals. However, for everyone's safety, please let me know if your dog is not good with children. I have 4 little dogs of my own who are all sweet and friendly with other dogs. They love making new friends and would love to have a new playmate for a few days! If your dog tends to be nervous around other dogs, I have enough space in my house that I can easily keep the dogs separated. I do my best to accommodate my guest dogs! *** My main concern is always for the safety of all dogs involved. I cannot accept aggressive dogs.*** Please let me know if your dog has the tendency to be aggressive with adults, children, or other dogs. If so, I will do my best to refer you to another host who's home may be more suitable for your dog. I can only watch dogs who are friendly towards other dogs and children. It can be hard to leave your precious pup and put your trust in someone else. I get it, and I promise I will do my best to keep your dog feeling happy, safe and comfortable. I also have experience administering medication as well as injections. My parent's dog has diabetes and I have experience injecting her with insulin shots. **I charge an extra $5/night for dogs who require injections because of the extra attention they need.** Please let me know if you have any questions or special requests.
