Hi there! My name's Michell, and my partner and I have two loving and spoiled rotten pugs of our own. We both grew up with dog-loving families, so we have well over 10 years of experience caring for a variety of pups! My partner and I independently care for our two pugs, Melvin and Penelope. Melvin is a 9 year-old pug who we rescued from Houston Pug Hearts in 2015. Penelope is is a 4 year-old pug who we adopted from a surrender in 2018. As you may know, pugs require very special care, so we make sure to dedicate the time and energy to give them the highest quality love, attention, and care.

There is seriously no better caretaker than Michell! She owns a pug named Melvin of her own and she takes the best care of him! From socializing him at parks, to making sure he eats and exercises regularly, she knows how to do it all. She always dog sits for me and I trust her to care for my little Lilo to the fullest extent. She’s also active, so is good for running with dogs too.

We live in a two-story condo where we spend most of our time with our dogs. Our dogs LOVE to watch TV, so we turn on Netflix for them to watch while we do human things such as cook or clean. We have floor to ceiling windows upstairs, where our dogs love to people and dog watch. Our dogs are nearly never out of our sight, as they are what we consider velcro dogs. When we are home, we spend all day with them watching TV, cuddling, or just sitting next to them while we get some work done.

We want to ensure that your dog(s) is/are friendly and will get along with other dogs. Our pugs are extremely friendly towards other dogs as long as they are willing to be friendly back to them! No breed preferences - we love dogs of all breeds and sizes! However, since we do live in an apartment, smaller sized dogs (40 pounds or less) are preferred, since larger dogs would not feel as comfortable in a small space without a yard. I would like as much detail as possible about your dog's eating habits, favorite snacks, favorite activities, and any other important information that would make your dog feel at home and comfortable with us.
A typical day
We live in the Midtown/Montrose area, which is in close proximity to many outdoor areas such as Buffalo Bayou Park, Levy Dog Park, and many smaller local dog parks. We generally take our dogs on walks around the neighborhood to ensure they get their exercise. However, we would be more than happy to take your dog to the dog park or any other preferred parks.

I am currently working as a pharmacist, and my day most often concludes in the early afternoon. My partner is an engineer who works primarily from home, so there will always be a human friend at home to keep your pup company.
