Pet care experience
I have been a dog mom for 18 yrs and have had a variety of small animals over that time as well including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, Chameleons, and exotic frogs. Currently, I have a St Bernard mix and a German Shepard mix both about 5 years old. We have two rabbits too. I am a volunteer with a local dog rescue and foster dogs waiting for their furever homes. To date, my kids and I have fostered 84 dogs in four years from 8 weeks old and up. I've done potty training with my own pups and fosters. I work full time during the weekdays but have availability after work during the evenings and on weekends for pet sitting and walking. I enjoy dogs and don't have any aversions to particular breeds as long as the dog is social and friendly.

Michele was dependable, communicative and went above and beyond while caring for our cats. We will most definitely request her services again in the future. I felt very at ease on my vacation knowing they were under her care. She followed all my instructions to a T for my special needs cats.

I keep pets on leash or in the fenced in yard when outside to be sure there is not opportunity to dart off. I don’t provide table scraps or toys/chews that are a choking risk.

If a pet has special needs, I would like to know ahead of time to be sure I am capable of providing the proper care. I have fostered a tri-pod dog, worked with separation anxiety and crate anxiety, provided a medication regimen for my own senior dog to treat arthritis and a thyroid condition.

Depending on the pet, environment, time of day, and weather, spending time with pets can vary from walking, fetch, tug, working on basic commands, or hanging out with lots of scratches and belly rubs.
