While on doggy playcation my guests enjoy 2 - 3 walks a day, depending on their preferences. One of the walks could be up to an hour, one 15-20 minutes and the last is dependent on the weather and your dog’s desire. The longer walk may be through the neighborhood, where we often end up at a small park with several other of the neighborhood dogs. If he/she enjoys playing with other dogs, we will join otherwise we will continue on. I work for home most days, so your baby(ies) will get lots of attention. My backyard has a tall solid brick fence, with a doggy door for access, for any time potty breaks and sunning themselves. If your fur baby hasn’t used a doggy door before, we will have a little fun and see what he/she thinks and if it’s a no go, then I am always happy to open the door. My condo complex also has a large fenced in grassy dog park, where he/she will get lots of off leash time to get out those zoomies! If your dog loves to play or to burn of extra energy, I have several well vetted neighborhood dogs awaiting a call! My rules are the same as your house rules. If you allow on your fur baby on furniture and the bed, then this is also allowed on mine. If not, then he/she can spread out on the cool tile or snuggle into the carpet or their bed, blanket or crate, if provided. I have been dog sitting in both SF and here for well over 10 years, I love animals and treat them all as if they are my own. I love me some doggy snuggles! I have had a dog in my life since I was born, though at the moment it is just myself. I live in S. Scottsdale in a community that is very dog centric. However, if yours is shy we will be sure to keep our space from other dogs and kids. Now if your precious little one(s) likes kids and/or other dogs they will meet many and get lots and lots of love. The kids know to alway ask me before approaching when meeting a new dog. I charge by a 24-hour period. So if you drop off at 5 PM on Friday and pickup at any time on Sunday that would be 2-days. If you drop her off on Friday at 8 am and pick her up Sunday night at 6 PM that would be 3 days. I hope that makes sense. I’m not hard core about it being 5 PM and 5 PM. If it ends up 8-9 PM I don’t charge for that time. I get travel happens, traffic, flights get delayed, etc… While I am also a tutor, dog sitting and tutoring are my full-time gigs. Not a side business. I also volunteered at the SF SPCA walking their dogs and having kids read to their emotional support dogs. I have several references if needed.
