Michala has owned dogs her whole life. Because of this, she is confident and at ease when it comes to providing them with care. As her best friend of over a decade, I've seen her interact with both her own dogs, our other friends' dogs, and even strangers' dogs out in public. She absolutely loves all of them and knows how to handle them well, no matter their size or energy level. She's great at brushing them, feeding them, getting leashes on and off, encouraging them to be active, making sure they don't get overheated or dehydrated when it's hot out, cleaning up after them when they go to the bathroom, checking for ticks after nature walks, calming them down if they are agitated, etc. She's especially great at petting them - knowing all the right spots they love (which is why I often jokingly tell her to be a massage therapist for dogs). For what it's worth, she has a natural affinity for taking care of other animals too, including horses and goats. I don't doubt she'd be a wonderful dog caregiver and truly believe she'd make an excellent addition to your team.
