Hi! I’m Michala! I’m a fur mom to my dog Sheldon. He’s a rescue, & we have no idea what breed he is! 🤷🏼♀️ We have a fenced in backyard for lots of playing & naps in the sun if desired. Our backyard is also professionally treated for pesky critters such as fleas and ticks so you can rest assured that your pup will be comfortable while in our care! Inside, we have lots of rugs and room for beds for ultimate comfortable lounging inside as well!! We have lots of sidewalks around as well if your dog wants/needs daily walks

So pleased with our decision to use Michala and Josh for our 9 day trip! We hadn’t left our dog in 3 years and we work from home so she’s used to having attention and being with us. We knew traditional boarding wasn’t an option and were thrilled to find the Zimmerman Zoo. We were gone over a week and received daily updates, pictures and consistent communication. Knowing our girl was being loved on, having fun with their pup, and was comfortable just lifted so much anxiety about leaving her. We don’t travel much but the next time we do, Michala and Josh will be our first call! Thank you both for loving Maisie like we do! ♥️
After seeing Michala and how good she was with my dog Buddy, a 14 year old Cockapoo, I was so relieved to know that he would be well taken care off. I received pictures during our vacation and I was told he enjoyed barking at the birds and squirrels. He may not be able to see them very well but I am pretty sure he had a good time in their fenced in back yard. I was so worried about being gone for so long but was so relieved to know he won’t be spending all of his time in a kennel or no one paying attention to him. When I got to their house I don’t think Buddy cared about me picking him up or not. He seemed to be happy where he was. Thank you Michala and Josh for taking care of my little sweetheart while we were away on vacation.
Michala was an amazing pet sitter! Communication was great. She went above and beyond when one of our dogs wasn’t feeling great. Would highly recommend!

My goal while your pup is with us is to maintain as similar of a schedule as you do in your home as possible. This eases anxiety for the pups & reinforces training! We have a fenced in yard for lots of playtime. In the yard we have an outdoor dog bed for resting if necessary. We have lots of shade for a break from the sun, & lots of squirrels to provide entertainment!

Please let me know if your dog takes medications & what the dosage is. Also let me know if your dog has any reactivity issues or fears of storms, loud noises, etc. I want to always make sure your pups are always as comfortable as possible ??
A typical day
There are lots of sidewalks around our house if your pup likes walks. Or we can have lots of outdoor playtime & utilize the snuffle mat indoors if necessary! ?
