Hello my name is Michaela! I thoroughly enjoy animals and find joy in spending time with them. I treat my dog and my roommates pets with care, respect and lots of love (including a major collection of toys, treats and dog bones made in Ak). I have grown up with pets my whole life, from cats, dogs, fish, turtles and even a hedgehog. I am very confident in caring for cats and dogs and look forward to meeting yours!

Michela has been so wonderful and loving towards my dogs. She has treated them as her own and I see them smiling in every picture. I would 10/10 recommended her to anyone with a pet that needs loves (or spoiled like mine)
Michaela treated our four doxies like they were her own. It was our first time using a dog sitter from River. She sent regular pictures. We had one dog in a cone needing medicine and another needing medication for allergies. She managed all their conditions. We came close to canceling our trip because we didn't feel comfortable hiring the neighbor's kid to feed them. Michaela came over to meet us and the dogs and they took to her, immediately. It's like they knew she was good with dogs. We felt so comfortable knowing she was loving on our puppies while we were away. Will definitely be hiring her, again.
Michaela did an awesome job watching my 17 month old chocolate lab pup Dallas and you could tell with her love for animals and teaching background, it was going to be a very positive experience. She was also very accommodating with schedule adjustments and I will definitely be rebooking with her!
Michaela is an exceptional pet owner, in the 10+ years I've known her she has always been an animal lover and they always seem to flock to her. She consistently put's our furry friends above herself time and time again. She is very active with her animals, always going on walks and hikes and making sure they have enough water. all in all I think anyone would be lucky enough to have Michaela spend some time with their animals

A typical day
I have a variety of spots I like to go for walks/hikes. Anywhere from the power line trail in my neighborhood, Crevasse Moraine, UAF Experimental Farms, Reflections Lake, the Butte, Lazy Mountain and to Hatcher's Pass when the weather permits.
