Pet care experience
I have worked in the animal care industry since I was 14 years old. I grew up with my mother whom bred and showed various different breeds of dogs as well as we kept a small mixed livestock farm. I have worked as an equine manager, I have worked at TSC, and currently am employed at a veterinary clinic where I was originally working with boarders. My skills include basic training, basic grooming, administering preventatives and medication (including insulin), providing effective and safe restraint, and I have taken multiple educational courses on animal welfare, behavior, and stress-free approach to handling.

Michaela is a responsible person who does what needs to be done. She has a very strong relationship with everyone’s pets I would recommend her to watch your pets as she only looks out for the best needs of your pet. Michaela will treat your pet like it is her own.
Michaela has always had a great connection with animals and gone above and beyond to make sure they are safe and comfortable. We have left her in charge of both our dogs and our livestock and she has done all she could to keep their routines going and our animals safe and happy!
Michaela, S has a wonderful way with all animals! She has a natural ability to communicate with them which reflects her deep love for all critters! I’ve seen her with dogs and cats, sheep and pigs, goats and chickens, bunnies and lizards and in her care they thrive and experience, the love that they deserve! She’s taken of my dogs and my bunnies and shows a great deal of expertise in the care that she gives to them. With her experience with 4-H and Future Farmerd of America she has gained a great deal of knowledge and has a natural ability to apply it, in the most beneficial way to all critters in her care. She is a responsible and loving person and a gifted caregiver ! Any loving pet parents would be grateful for the attention that she would give to their for babies!

A typical day
I enjoy taking dogs for walks on the various trails throughout Deferiet, but as a nature lover and a “townie” I am familiar with lots of local trails (I just prefer the quieter ones with pups). I am HUGE on mental stimulation, and enjoy working with puzzle toys, working on training, and in general being fully present with the animals I work with.

I work full time, but only mid day so I am more than capable of doing morning and afternoon visits as well as mid day on the weekends.
